That night:

"Shouldn't we call in the professionals?" I asked Jim as we cycled along a dark road where shadows loomed at every corner and my mind tried to convince me that goblins lurked behind every street lamp.

"by the time we get down to trollmarket, the tubby tracker battery could be dead, and then we'll never find the goblin den" Jim explained as he guided us through town, using the tracker on Toby's phone as a map besides, we're just gonna scope it out and report back. easy"

"famous last words" I muttered under my breath as Jim stopped talking as he looked up to see the location of the goblin nest.

"hey look! look over there" Toby whispered, pointing at the goblins crawling up the cream walls of the muse, as we set our bikes down on the wet grass, the dew tickling my fingers as I put my helmet down onto the damp grass "the museum. we should have known."

"let's go and tell the others," Jim said and turned to pick his bike back up.

"get down!" toby gasped suddenly, knocking me and Jim to the ground as I saw a flicker of light in the corner of my eye.

"its the museum lady!" Jim murmured worriedly as he peered curiously over the bush with Toby.

"she has no idea it's infested," Toby added in horrified realisation "at any moment they could strike! or worse, lay eggs in her ears"

"I don't think goblins do that" Jim told him with a comically confused expression.

"we have to get her out" I interjected as I spotted Namura's plumb purple dress through the foliage, "that 'museum lady' is my friend."

"good idea" Toby confirmed, still clutching his ears "but cover your ears."

we ran quickly across the moonlit grass, making only the slightest rustle until we reached the main doors where the sound of loud classical music could faintly be heard from inside.

"come on, open up" Toby murmured as he banged on the door

"hello?" Jim yelled into the tightly closed doors" where'd she go? why isn't she answering?"

"cause she's already dead Jim" Toby answered harshly, sending bolts of worry down my spine "or she can't hear because she already has eggs in her ears!"

"there is no way I'm leaving her in there," I told them as I wandered around the side to find a way into the museum "we have to get inside."

Jim found a slight agar window and he pushed it open, the only sound it made was a slight screech of old its hinges.

"This is breaking and entering!" Toby whisper-yelled at us.

"its breaking and rescuing" Jim corrected him uncertainly "relax. we're just gonna get her out of there, and then let blinky and Aaarrrgghh handle the rest."

As soon as Jim finished talking, I jumped up onto the window ledge and lowered myself to the ground on the other side, Jim close behind me. as Toby tried to get in, he got stuck in the skinny window frame so I reluctantly helped Jim pull him out. Toby crashed onto the ground with a resounding smack and crawled back onto his feet with Jim who had also been knocked backwards.

"gheeze this place gives me the creeps with the lights out" Jim shivered as he dusted himself off.

"you can say that again" I added as I observed the plastered walls that were cast in a creepy shadow.

as we wandered down the main hall, the music grew louder and I saw an open doorway with warm light spilling out of it. I was about to walk in when Jim yanked toby and me behind one of the marble columns decorating the otherwise blank hallway.
