Reaper of Remnant Volume 3 (A RWBY Fanfiction)

1. Intro

(WARNING: If you haven't read the previous two volumes, turn back and read those first!)

~82 years ago~

In the sandy plains of Vacuo, Human, Faunus, and smoking Reaper bodies stain the sands with survivors scattered throughout the battlefield. The monarchs of Mantle, Mistral, and Vacuo kneel to the King of Vale to signify that the last battle of the Great War is over. Reaper walks across the fields to find any Reaper survivors before he sees the King of Vale standing tall as the other monarchs kneel before him.

Reaper clenches his fists as he sees that and all of his dead kin and countrymen around them.

Reaper: This had better have been worth it.

Reaper walks away from that sight so he could find any more survivors.

~Present Day, 82 years later. Under an Ice Cream Shop in Mantle, which is under the floating city of Atlas~

Cinder and Neo stare at Roman Torchwick with wide eyes as he stands next to a couple of his henchmen. Neo's heart is racing while her brain is working in overdrive trying to figure out how Roman is alive, how glad she is that he is alive, and why didn't he tell her during these dreadful two years?!

Cinder: Roman?? You're alive?!

Roman: Well, me standing here does answer that question, doesn't it, Cinder?

Neo steps forwards and walks towards Roman. The crime boss seems a little nervous as she walks up to him.

Roman: Neo, I know you're probably upset, and I would like you to know that-

Roman is cut off when Neo just hugs him. He's a little surprised by her action but soon smiles and hugs her back.

Roman: I missed you too, Neo. And I'm sorry for leaving you all alone for these past two years.

Cinder just watches as the two hug for a few moments before the hug breaks off. Roman sees Neo's eyes all watered up and he notices a little damp spot on his outfit. He smiles and grabs her hands.

Roman: I'm not leaving you alone again. That's a promise Neo.

Neo smiles and wipes her eyes before she takes off the hat she's wearing and puts it on Roman's head. He smiles and looks up at his hat.

Roman: And I missed you, sweetheart.

He then looks at Cinder.

Roman: You, not so much, no offense.

Cinder rolls her eye and places her human hand on her hip.

Cinder: None taken. Now, how did you survive?

Roman: I'll explain in a bit. Right now I'm a little hungry because I missed dinner to see you ladies. Tacos?

Alright! Welcome back to Reaper of Remnant! Unfortunately, until I get a hold of Volume 7's transcripts over the next several weeks, new chapters from here on will come rather slowly (if you are a reader in 2020, congrats, this segment doesn't apply to ya unless I seriously slack off on writing this). I have several ideas of stuff I can do for this volume but I will wait and see on what parts of the RoR and RWBY stories that I can adapt into one another without jeopardizing the integrity of either!

Found on Pinterest, wish I found it when I was writing Volume 2 because I LOVE this design! Ignore that primitive looking spear, just pretend it's her normal one that can turn into a gun. Let's see, what else did I want to say before I finish up here? Oh yes, Jaune. I swear to GOD, I will not have his new hairstyle be in MY fanfic!
