Chapter Fifteen

Munaya was devastated. What does he mean by that, is anything wrong with Mubeen? She asked herself.

She stood up and went to meet her mummy.

Mami, Kamal came here. She said when she sat on the bed.

Who is Kamal? Mami asked sitting upright.

Mubeen's friend, she replied and lowered her head.

So why was he here and what did he say? Mami asked her again.

Munaya hesitated for awhile then said, he said if anything happens to Mubeen, he won't spare me too.

Ehenn is that why you are this stressed. Mami said giving her a deadly look.

Mami he sounded serious fa. She said.

My dear, don't mind them. They want you to go back begging them.

Am sure this is one of their tricks. Mami said to her.

God forbid, I won't be that cheap. He have to come himself to apologize to me. She said and smiled.

Kamal went to the hospital when he left there.

He recognized Lubna as the lady he had met with Samira at the bar the other day but he did not say a word to her, he only greeted Hajiya and then sat on the seat provided.

Lubna was shocked to see him, she never knew he was Mubeen's friend.

Hajiya I need to get some stuffs from home, she said and excused herself.

Kamal stood up too and followed her.

Hi! He said to her. She pretended not to have heard him.

Hi, excuse me! He said the second time. She stopped and looked at him in annoyance.

She had decided to insult him if he mentioned anything about the bar.

Have we met before? He asked her in a low tone, with a little air of doubt.

She nodded negatively as he was still expecting an answer from her.

Ohh am sorry! He said. I mistook you for somebody.

"Better be" she said and was about to walk away when he said, I just can't imagine how disappointed your family would be when they find out you are a regular at a bar.

She stood still but did not turn back. He took some steps and got to where she was standing.

What do you want? She asked him sounding angry.

It would be better you save this aggression for someone else. Am not here to tolerate this. He said and winked at her.

By the way, I learnt you are Samira's friend, he added.

She turned to look at him. Yes, mr man. And I also learnt you are her ex. She said and hissed at him.

He laughed so hard like someone who had zero worries.

When he stopped laughing, he looked at her and said your friend is responsible for what your brother is going through.

You must be joking? She asked with her eyes wide open.

Didn't she tell you anything about a guy she met at the bar and what encounter between them? He asked giving way for a nurse to pass.

Yes she did but she never mentioned his name. She replied surprised.

Well that guy is Mubeen. He explained everything to her and ended with "am very sure someone must have paid her to do this".

Ohh my God what I've I done. I encouraged her to do this not knowing the trap was going to catch my brother. She said and tears streamed down her chin at once.

It's okay, do not put the blame on yourself. All you have to do now is persuade her to tell you the truth.

Make her reveal the mastermind behind this whole scandal. He said and she wiped the tears off her face.

I will do that, I must correct my mistakes but please don't tell anyone about this.

I want it to be between us. She said and looked into his eyes.

Ofcourse I won't, he said and smiled at her.

He waited till she was out of sight before he also went back to the room.
