"You're not worried about me ruining your hair?" Colby asks a little hesitantly, watching you mix the bleach in the bowl.

"If I was worried about it, then I wouldn't be letting you do this." You tell him calmly, looking up to see that he's still a little confused, "Babe, if you mess up then I can just get one of my friends to fix it. But you said you wanted to do this."

"I do," he swings his legs a little bit, "I just don't want you to hate it when I'm done with it."

You laugh to yourself, shaking your head as you do. Of course, your own boyfriend would be more worried about you rather than himself. His hair? Well, you're going to make sure that it doesn't turn out horribly. However, he doesn't work with hair.

The most he knows about having to style hair, is when he blow dries it to make sure that it turns out correctly. And even then, you stand in the doorframe in the bathroom, laughing at the sight in the first place.

Personally, you like the curls a lot better than the straight hair. But it's whatever his preference is. There are times he'll make sure not to straighten it out for you, though. But at the same time you know that he doesn't really like to have it like that.

It's his natural hair, natural hair can and will be a pain in the ass. You've dealt with some people who don't take care of their hair at all, and people who do. And between those times, you've had one hell of an experience each time.

So, you're not surprised with Colby wanting to not have his hair out into curls. But you are surprised that he'll push past his comforts just for you. So that you're happy, like right now.

He's been excited about it all morning because he knows that not only is he getting to change, but you are too. He gets to pick out the color to your hair. And even though Colby told you to pick out his hair color, you passed. Told him that whatever makes him happy is good enough for you.

Because of that, he picked out a red at the store. You warned him that it wouldn't exactly be red and there would be hints of purple, but he didn't seem to mind. Claimed that it would be more cool. Even asked you after he said that to make sure that you thought it would be cool.

Your boyfriend is a little too cute when it comes to things. And it makes you wonder how you got such a sweet boyfriend in the first place. Most people's boyfriends wouldn't want to dye their hair together and do shit like that because it makes them ridiculous.

However, Colby was all for it.

"I'll do your hair first, and after that you can do mine." You tell him, "Just so while yours is setting, mine gets started."

"Sounds good to me," Colby chirps, and you laugh to yourself.

There's no mirror to see how you two are doing. Not like Colby would need to see it anyway. Just because of the amount of trust he has for you. But it's not like you'd go out and sabotage the color. That would be stupid on so many levels.

The only reason why there isn't a mirror is so that you won't be able to see your hair at any point in time. And just to go to drastic measures, you'd agreed that you would close your eyes. Colby would be able to get himself a little messy in the meantime.

"Oh, this color is pretty," you tell him, folding over the foil and moving it out of the way. After that, you start on more of his hair, "It's a good pick."

"Thanks," Colby says.

Before you know it, you two are switching spots. The black sheet goes around your shoulders, just in case he accidentally drips anything from the dye onto it. One, it won't absorb the color—and if it does, no big deal. Two, you'll be able to wash this easily.

"How many times have you dyed your hair before?" Colby asks you, and you shrug a little bit.

"I lost count after the third one. Do you know how many times Xepher has changed her hair?" You ask him in return.

He seems to make the connection, whistling a little bit, "That many?"

"Hell yeah. The newest glow in the dark has to be my favorite of hers though. I'm wondering if I should try it out sometime in the future." You tell him honestly.

"I think it would look good on you. Maybe even better than this color." Colby tells you.

"Well, you picked out the color. So I'm sure that this will be better." You say, relaxing in the chair a little bit.

"We'll see about that," Colby says.

Colby finished up pretty quickly too, it didn't take as long as you thought it would. Since he doesn't do this very often—or rather, he doesn't do it at all—you'd thought he'd be slower. More capable of mistakes. But in the end, there was one mistake made, and that was it.

"Time to wash out your hair." You tell him, turning to look at him after he's cleaned up.

You take out the foil in the bathroom, and then you help him to not get the dye on anything as he's taking off the rest of his clothes.

"Join me?" Colby asks.

"If you're in the shower long enough, I'm sure I could make it work." You tell him, sitting on the counter.

You listen as he tells you about how much the fans liked the color last time. And how he's hoping they'll like the red. You go on to ask him if he likes it. And his answer is yes, of course. After that, all you say is that it's his opinion that matters.

Sure, the fans can dish out their opinion all day. But when it really comes down to it, it's his that matters. You also ended up telling him that if he didn't like the purple tints, that you would definitely go back and change it for him.

When he said that he was finally done washing his hair—which took longer than you'd expected—it was your turn to get your hair done. Because of this, he wanted to pull out the foil and help you the same way you helped him.

Basically, you had to stand there with your eyes closed, and Colby had to undress you. Since you weren't allowed to see just yet, not until the color was done.

The shower was pretty uneventful too, except for the fact that Colby kept saying that the both of you were going to be stained at the end of this. Hints of the color would be able to be seen in certain patches.

Colby was very sure to not give away the color.

And then at the end of the shower, you two got dressed in real clothes, not the ones that you'd cared to get dye on. After that, it was the big reveal.

Keep in mind, that most of your hair is dyed. Not all of it, but a good portion. So you're really hoping that you can see the color, and it looks good.

"Ready to look?" Colby asks.

"My hair is going to be all ratty cause I need to brush and blow dry it, but sure." You laugh.

Colby wipes down the bathroom mirror, giving you a clear look at yourself to see the color you were least expecting.

He'd made you two made.

"It looks good!" You tell him, turning your head in different angles to make sure that it's all been dyed. And it has, meaning you two won't have to go back and fix it in certain areas.

"You like the color?" Colby asks, face a little red.

"I told you I did," you laugh, turning to look at him with a smile, "Now we're actually matching."

Colby smiles, and you go over to hug him, being careful not to press your hair against his t-shirt, "I like this color on you."

"And I love the color on you too." You lean up to kiss him, and he presses his lips against yours carefully.
