Okay so crushing on a guy can have its moments where it's absolutely charming. And basically hellfire. Like, literally.

In this case, you're just stupid to let yourself do this. Not because he's a bad person or whatever, you've known him long enough to know that he's not as bad as he seems sometimes. He can get moody like everyone else in the world, but somehow you're never hit with the moodiness?

If he's ever feeling off, he'll show it to everyone, but with you, it's almost like he puts on a mask. Like he doesn't want to let you see him in that state. Which is perfectly fine, you guess. But you're aware that he does this because the girls will tell you about it. As well as the guys, and then the looks they'll give the both of you when you two are talking as if he doesn't feel shitty that day.

You're not sure if jealousy is the word to describe them. Maybe it's just a little bit of surprise and annoyance. Since they're always getting the worst part of him most of the time. But when it comes to you, it's like he hasn't done anything wrong in his life. Or—better yet—he just wants to make himself seem like he's always happy-go-lucky.

That's not a good thing, you know that much. Because it's almost like baiting someone into a relationship, letting them think that you're always happy. And then when it comes to your bad days, they don't know how to handle you at all because they've always seen you happy.

See, when it comes to yourself, you'll show off the fact that you're not having a good day. You'll let everyone know ahead of time, telling them that you'll still go out of the house to hang, but you're not going to be in high spirits. Just because that morning hadn't gone right.

Another reason why you're stupid for letting yourself like him, is the fact that his ex-girlfriend is one of your best friends. Which is stupid, right? Yes, it's very stupid and she's given you her 'blessing' to go and date him. She's already moved on, she's dating someone brand new. So, whatever happens with him, she doesn't care.

And if that means letting you date him, then whatever. What's the worst that can happen anyway? You two break up, and then the both of you aren't dating anymore. Boo hoo, breakups happen. And you guess that's what her point of view on you two dating was.

Life goes on, that's all you're saying.

Along with her support, came the support of your other friends, who are also friends with her. Telling you that you might as well finally go and ask him out in this case. Because he's very clearly into you—you only know this because one of his friends passed on the message under the radar, so it didn't seem suspicious. And if you don't take him now, then he's going to move on.

As any other sane person would do if the other person doesn't reciprocate the feelings. You just, move on and get over it. What's the point of pining over someone if they're never going to make a move? Or better yet, like you back? There is no point, and that's why you're being pressured into making the move as fast as you can.

That's why you're going to do it tonight. Right in this goddamn apartment, maybe in the hallway for a little bit of privacy. But whatever happens, it's going to happen tonight. Just so that things won't have to be put back any longer.
