TW: Death. Thas it.
Also Hal isn't a serial killer in this one.

She watched as the masked man held a gun to Jughead's head. "No!" She shouted, but it was too late. She watched as his finger moved the slightest amount and BOOM!

Betty jolted awake, sweating and heavily breathing. She looked around before realizing it was just a dream. Jughead hadn't stayed with her last night but she needed to see him so she hopped out of her bed and ran to put on her jacket and shoes. It was only 10 at night so he should still be awake. She ran until her calves burned but she didn't stop until she made it to his trailer. She pounded on the door, her breath heavy and sweat dripping down her forehead. Jughead got up from the couch where he was resting after a stressful day. He opened the door with a grumble to be met with the blonde. "What do you want, Betty?!" She looked up at him with shock in her eyes and her mouth open. "I-I, nee-eeded to see y-you." He crossed his arms. "Why? Are you in danger?!" He huffed, sarcastically. "N-no but I had a n-nightmare." "Dreams aren't real. Your not in danger, you don't need to be here so. Call me when your in REAL danger." He slammed the door on her. She stood out there her head hung low. She realized how dumb it really was. I mean she wasn't in real danger, she just had a bad dream. She slowly trudged home. When she made it, she slipped off her shoes and jacket and walked up to her room. She layed in her bed for hours but she couldn't stop the dream from replaying in her mind. She didn't get a wink of sleep the rest of the night so the next day she walked through the school halls with bags under her eyes.
3 days later, Betty still hadn't gotten any sleep. She couldn't stop the dream from replaying on an endless cycle. Everytime she closed her eyes she would see the love of her life get shot. It was so unbearable that she gave up trying to sleep at all.

Jughead sat on his couch watching TV when he saw a flash of lightning. At first he put no thought to it. Then a loud crack of thunder made him jump off of the couch. He quickly caught his breath as it hit him that Betty is alone in her house during a thunder storm. He wondered why she hadn't called him to come over. She hates thunder storms after her dad was killed in one a few years back. And then he remembered he told her not to bother him unless she was in real danger. "Great what to screw things up, Jughead," he said to himself. He slipped on his shoes and jacket and ran to his room to get his favorite hoodie. He knew Betty would appreciate it because she loved stealing his clothes. He grabbed a backpack and slipped the hoodie in. He ran out the door and to his car in the pouring rain. He drove to Pop's to get Betty's usual order of a burger,  large fries, and a vanilla milkshake. He got his usual order and placed them in his backpack. He headed to the store a little farther down the road to get all Betty's favorite snacks. He got a bunch of different kinds of candy and chips and grabbed a Disney movie that he knew she didn't have. He payed for them and slipped them in his backpack. He drove to Betty's house, walked up to the front door and used the spare key to let himself inside. He headed for the stairs but after hearing sobs from upstairs he moved a little faster. As he neared Betty's room the cries got louder. He practically burst through her bedroom door to see her curled up in a ball, a blanket wrapped tightly around while she sobbed. "Betty," he said quietly so he didn't startle her. She looked up at him and wiped her tears. "Jug? I-I didn't think I called you. What're you doing here?" She reached for her phone and scrolled through it a bit, probably checking her call history. "No, I know how much you hate thunderstorms so I figured you wouldn't want to be alone. And I wanted to apologise. I shouldn't have told you that you weren't in real danger. Just because you weren't in real danger doesn't mean I couldn't have helped you. I was having a bad day and I took it out on you which I shouldn't have and I'm so sorry." She sniffed and said, "It's okay, Jug. It wasn't on purpose." He walked over to her and hugged her. He pulled away but kept his hands on her shoulders. "I got snacks, Pop's, the new live action Aladdin because I know you don't have it, and my favorite hoodie because I know how much you like stealing my clothes." She smiled brightly at him. "I love you," she said. "I love you, too." He leaned down and kissed her lips before slipping off his bag and unpacking it. He handed her the hoodie while he put the movie into the DVD player and layed out snacks. They just ate snacks and cuddled for hours while watching the movie. Actually they watched several movies. Jughead looked down at Betty after the most recent one and saw she had fallen asleep. Her arms were tightly wrapped around his torso and she looked so peaceful. Jughead put away all the snacks and turned off the TV before laying down next to her and pulling her right into his side. She immediately buried her face in his chest and he fell asleep.

It was somewhere in the middle of the night when Betty had the same dream as she did three nights ago. She jolted awake and let out a small shriek. She was panting and sweating with tears falling out of her eyes. Jughead woke up and wrapped his arms around her. "Hey, hey it's okay. Can you tell me what happened?" She shook her head as she choked on a sob. He wrapped arms tighter around her and pulled her to his lap. "Shh. It's okay baby. Just follow my breathing. In and out." Her breathing evened out but she never let Jughead go. "Now, can you tell me what happened?" Jughead asked Betty. She nodded and took a deep breath. "I keep having this dream where a man in a mask kills you a-and  I can't do anything about b-because I can't m-move. E-every time I t-try to sle-ep it's a-all I can s-see," she said before bursting into sob. He wrapped his arms even tighter around her. "It's okay. I'm fine, you're fine. I'm not going anywhere, okay?" She nodded and sniffed. Betty rested her head on Jughead's shoulder and slowly fell back asleep. He kissed her cheek and layed them both back down. He cuddled her until she fell asleep and he fell asleep right after her. After that, Betty never had that same dream again.
