"Jughead. Jughead." I turned around and Betty was standing in the doorway of my trailer. "Betty?" She was wearing a beautiful yellow dress. She giggled.
"Are you ready for our date?" She asked. Date?
"Date?" She frowned.
"Did you not remember? You're certainly dressed for the occasion." I looked down and sure enough I was wearing a tux. What the-
"Jug, are you feeling okay?" She walked up to me and put the back of her hand to my forehead. "No fever," she said with a sigh. I was trying to process what was happening. So I was going out with Betty. Wow, I was going out with Betty. "Maybe we should just reschedule," she said and turned towards the door.
"No," I said and grabbed her wrist. She turned back towards me. I pulled her close to me and just as our lips were about to touch...
"Jug. Come on wake up, Jughead." I groaned and turned my head. I felt a warm surface pressed against my cheek. I opened my eyes and it was Betty's stomach. I snuggled my face into it and hugged her waist. She chuckled. "Come on, Jug. The bell is going to ring in a few minutes."
"No," I mumbled into her stomach.
"Come on." She sat me up and I squinted at the light. She chuckled and placed my backpack on my lap.
"Ugh, can't I just go home." I stood up and stretched. My back cracked and I sighed.
"You could. But I won't let you."
The day went on so slowly, I swore it took a whole month. By the end of the day, I was so exhausted I felt like I was going to pass out. I walked into the Blue and Gold room and and flopped down on the couch. Betty wasn't in yet so I closed my eyes and let my sleep take over.
This time we were sitting on a picnic blanket in the park. Betty was making a flower crown out of the dandelions on the ground next to us. She tied it off, turned to me, and placed it on my head. She giggled and said, "It looks so good on you Jug." I smiled and sighed softly. "Everything okay, Jug?" I looked at her.
"Of course," I said. "Everything is perfect." She smiled and laid her head on my lap. She suddenly sat up and grabbed my shoulders. She started shaking me and saying, "Wake up, Jughead."
I opened my eyes and Betty was hovering over me.
"Finally, you're awake." I looked around and I was still in the Blue and Gold room. "I figured you wouldn't want to sleep all afternoon so it's 3 now."
"Thanks, Betty." I smiled at her and sat up, our faces inches apart. I felt my cheeks heat up and I sa a darker pink then the normal rosie color on Betty's cheeks. She turned her head to the side.
"Sorry," she mumbled and walked back over to her desk.
"No it's alright. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."
"No, no. You didn't make me uncomfortable." We sat in silence, not really comfortable but not awkward either, just kind of neutral. Dang, I think I messed up.
Sorry this is so short, I've lost motivation and am having trouble focusing since school ended. The updates will probably be slow from her on out. Sorry.
