Just to clarify the quotes in the MM are in the perspective of Chan to his children :)
———————————
And Chan awoke, this time much earlier than he expected but he was grateful. He felt confined and found difficulty in his breathing for some odd reason until he realized it was just Jeongin, grasping his chest dearly and snoring away with his mouth agape.
He wouldn't trade the sight for anything else in the world but he had to get up to wake his children. Finally, they could have an early arrival to school.
Shifting jeongin's weight to the bed the both of them accidentally fell asleep on Chan stumbles down the hallway and into the living room. He stopped for a moment with his eyes in its biggest form.
Tomato sauce and bread dressed the carpet surrounding them as if they were an island of pizza. The six slumped over one another snoring rather loudly with red juice staining their shirts and cheeks covered with pizza crust crumbs. Chan concludes that Changbin probably hadn't finished his meal considering the half eaten pizza slice hanging from his grip off of the sofa.
Never again Chan.
The father decides to shake the eldest first who luckily was easier to wake. In just a few hair ruffles minho's eyes were half lidded glancing around his surroundings like he'd just been kidnapped.
"Minnie, come on. Help me wake your brothers it's time for school".
He nods his head rubbing his eyes harshly while Chan moved on to the second eldest, Changbin. The pizza from his hand hit the floor with an instant stain.
"Binnie wake up its time for school".
The groggy younger stretches his arms while staring into space. Meanwhile Minho shook Felix and then hyunjin, able to get them both at least to their feet. The four trudged into their separate bedrooms leaving Chan up to the most difficult pair.
Seungmin and Jisung.
"Jisung-ah. Come on. Wake up for daddy".
Chan recites to the small one who's face was planted into the arm of the living room couch.
"Jisung-ah".
Chan calls again, shaking him consistently until Jisung was groping the air.
"Mommy! Mommy pick me up".
He stirs in his sleep before turning over. Chan's heart tanked giving him the motivation to wake him even sooner. He just wouldn't be able to withstand the questions when he wakes.
"Jisung-ah!".
One eye pops open before the other follows. The blonde haired boy pouts sleepily at the sight of his father waking him up so early in the morning.
"Daddy I don't want to go to school".
He groans throwing his head back,
"You have to go. Don't you want to be there to protect your brothers like a good Hyung? And have fun with Park Jinyoung-nim?".
Chan excitedly reiterates in an attempt to get his son in the mood; to which Jisung's lips began to quiver and his tears fell freely.
"Daddy it's too early".
He whines,
"Don't cry baby. Do you want to get on my back? So I can fly you to your room?".
