"Anything?".
Chan questions the police officers while all of his children were now in the waiting area. It had been all day they were looking for him. It was now almost the children's bedtime, hence the youngers yawning in the waiting room.
"Not yet. We will continue the search party for him. We advise that you take your children home Mr. Bang".
Chan held his face in his hands.
"I can't sleep without my son in that house. You must know that".
"I understand. But your other children are young. They need this time to sleep. We can notify you if he turns up alright?".
Chan huffs his breath, removing his hair from his eyes once again.
"Okay. Alright".
Looking as if he were a zombie at this point chan goes into the waiting area only to find each of his children curled up in the seats, sound asleep. Even jeongin, with his head laying in the crook of hyunjin's neck. They were all so cute. They were all just so precious and perfect.
"I wouldn't know what i'd do if I lost any one of you either. I'd die for you".
Chan mutters to himself. He hated to do it but he woke each of them up, piling them up into the car before spilling back into the house to get them ready for bed. Each of them had an easy time getting there. Kicking of their shoes before hopping under their blankets. All with the exception of jisung, who stood at Minho's open door tiredly. Chan had just been finished feeding Jeongin his nightly bottle before rocking him back to sleep. He walks out of his room to see the younger boy, wearing one Minho's t-shirts that was evidently too big for him.
"Jisung? You alright baby?".
Chan questions, he was just staring at Minho's bed.
Once jisung locks eyes with his father he bursts into tears with trembling pouty lips. Chan rushed to hug him tightly. He rubs his hair softly while the boy sobs into his t-shirt.
"Daddy I miss minho hyung".
He mentions with a shaky voice. Chan's heart wrenched.
"I know jisung. He's coming back. Alright? I promise. Okay?".
Sniffling, jisung lifts his head to look at his father.
"You promise?".
"Yes. Tonight you can sleep in my bed okay?".
jisung nods. Chan gratefully carries him into his own room and lets jisung curl in his blankets and big pillows. He turns on some cartoons to calm his nerves a little. He lays aside the boy, cuddling him and kissing him on his forehead until he was sound asleep.
Still worried out of his mind though, chan goes into the living room and immediately dials the police station. He was pacing his floor as the phone rung a couple of times to no avail. He kept calling of course with his heart reaching dangerous speeds.
"oh come on please pick up".
Chan begged for what it felt like hours until there was a knock at his door. It was pretty late but chan was desparate. He pulled open the door to see Woojin, in a long black wool trench coat with a white sweater. Chan instantly grew cold. He didn't know what to expect.
Was woojin coming back to say harsher things to him? To get him back for what he said?
But woojin said nothing. Instead he reached behind him and pushed a little boy in front of him.
It was Minho.
Out of pure joy chan grabbed the boy and pulled him into the house and hugged him tightly.
"Minho i've been looking everywhere for you! I've even had the police searching for you all day you had me worried sick".
The younger boy had the most pitiful look on his face to say the least.
"What do you say Minho?".
Woojin spoke.
"I'm sorry for running away daddy. What happened to mommy wasn't your fault I shouldn't have took it out on you. I'm really sorry".
Minho apologizes sincerely before hugging his father. Chan accepted it. Except he couldn't help but to think how hard it was for him to try and get minho to apologize to anyone. So how could Woojin have possibly done it in less than ten minutes?
"It's alright Minho. Don't ever do that again I almost lost my mind. Take a shower and I'll fix you something to eat before you go to bed alright?".
The eldest nodded and walks to his room like he was told.
"I found him in some alleyway across town. I don't know how he got over there. But, I'm just glad he's home and he's safe".
Chan could only stare at the larger man. Regardless of the fact that this moment was about Minho he looked gorgeous.
"Thank you so much. I'm sorry for the way I acted earlier I was a real jerk".
Woojin surprisingly chuckles.
"When you're under a lot of stress it can be that way. I understand Chan".
"No seriously I shouldn't have talked to you that way you've never did one hurtful thing to me. You didn't deserve that. My emotions was running wild, I mean they still are but--".
It was an unfamilar feeling. Kind of almost foreign. Sparks chased away the bit of anxiety he had left. He felt alive. He felt free. It's been a while since Chan's kissed someone. Woojin's delicate lips were enough to put chan in a different kind of euphoria. Even the way he pulled away was slow and gentle. It made chan feel....
loved.
"I said it's okay chan".
Woojin winks before he smiles at Chan who was caught in a trance. He felt fifteen again.
"I--um-- yeah i'm sorry. uh--yeah it's been a while since i've kissed someone i'm sorry if i'm a bit too awkward right now?".
Chan apologizes ending his sentence with a high note. Woojin laughs.
"Can I kiss you again?".
Chan blinks at his question but he rather not keep him waiting.
"Yes you may".
without a doubt woojin leaned in once more, planting a soft kiss on chan's lips before pulling away just as gentle as before. His smile was warm.
"Have a nice weekend Chan".
Woojin grants, just before walking back to his sports car and waving while pulling off. Chan closed the door with a mind full. He didn't know how to think or feel about this new kind of relationship. The kisses were amazing. But was he ready for someone else?
"You guys are gross".
Minho says startling his father to death.
