¨Quick! Jisung what number comes after 3?¨.

Jinyoung asks the kid standing eagerly with a bat in hand. His classmates began buzzing with noises of possible answers behind him waiting for their turn next. Jisung thinks for a moment trying to remember all of the numbers he ever learned because it wasn't like he'd done his homework. Fortunately, he remembered the faint sound of his father's singing voice from when he was much smaller. Now memorizing the sequence the boy hastily jumps into the air,

¨I know! Is it four?¨.

¨Correct! Batter up!¨.

Jinyoung screeches tossing the ball to Jisung prior to him hitting it ruthlessly in the air. He scurries to first base with the cheering of his classmates to follow. And almost nothing could explain the joy he felt when his foot finally touched the soft palette confirming his victory.

Jinyoung squats to the next batter smiling in attempt to give the child some encouragement.

"Okay Wooyoungie you're next Buddy! What number comes after four?".

He clutches the bat nervously, glancing back at all of his classmates who were jumping around shouting out random numbers. It hadn't felt like they were helping him at all, rather that they were yelling at him because he didn't know.

He bites his lips staring back at his beloved teacher,

"Um..five hund-wed?"

"Not quite Wooyoung! Try again sweetie".

He thinks again, trying to come up with some answer among the screaming in the back of him. He flips a portion of hair away from his eyes.

"Is it six?".

"Almost! One more try! Don't give up Wooyoung!".

The boy could feel his tears overwhelming him at the words, he just wanted to get the answer right. He wanted his classmates to stop yelling at him so he could think. But it was all becoming too much way too fast.

He swipes a tear away with his shirt sleeve only to feel a small tug at the hem of his vest.

"Try five wooeey".

Felix whispers with the smallest grin hoping he could gift the child some faith. Wooyoung wipes his other eye before gripping the bat once more with his eyes focused on Jinyoung who nods his head with a smile.

"Is it five?".

"There you go! Batter up!".

Jinyoung tosses the ball that Wooyoung hesitantly but surely, hit over him. Jisung recognized his cue and allowed his feet to hit the grass capturing second base.

"Nice!".

Jisung complimented Wooyoung who gratefully stood in his correct position out of breath.

"Alright! Seungmin! Its you! What number comes after five?".

Seungmin shakes his head ridiculing the latter.

"It's six".

"Looks like someone paid close attention to their homework last night".

"No. I'm smart".

Seungmin asserts gripping the bat steadily collecting a laugh from his teacher. And like the others Seungmin was sure to hit the ball a great distance before sprinting to first base.  The two others run off onto the next palettes, unsure of what questions to expect for the final home run.
