I wake up to my alarm at 4:30 am. Yes this early if I want to catch some good waves.
I get changed and get my surfboard. I start driving to my favorite beach here in Hawaii I've gone there since I was little it's kinda like my safe place. Nobody is usually here at these hours so it's even more peaceful. I pull up the the beach and get down to the sand and I see these two boys. I don't mind I can share.
They notice me and wave I wave back and head out to the water I paddle out and wait for a good wave to come. I start to get some good ones really huge ones. After a while of getting some good huge ones I decide to take a break. I sit and drink some water.
By this time the sun was up and there was a little more people here but still pretty empty.
"Hey"
I hear a voice next to me it was one of the boys I saw when I got here
"aloha" I say and smile
"You're amazing out there. He and my brother have been trying to catch one but they just keep whipping us out" he laughs and I laugh
"Thank you"
"Are you a local?" He asks
"Yup born and raised" I giggle
"Ahhh that's why you're so good" he smiles
"Yeah I've done it my whole life " I giggle
"Well It would be really cool if you can teach me some time" he smiles I look up and giggle
"Yeah sure I think I can do that" I say
"I have a friend that can help out your brother as well" I laugh looking over at him in the water as he gets slammed down by a wave.
"Ooo" we both sat at the same time which then leads to a laugh
"Yeah that would be really cool" he giggles "Here"
he says giving me his phone I give him mine and we exchange numbers.
"Well i should go check up on my brother" he laughs
"Oh and I'm Grayson" he says shacking my hand
"I'm y/n" I smile
He smiles
"nice meeting you y/n" he says Turing around jogging to his brother.
I just sit there smiling like a dork.
