Friday 22nd December 1984:

Sirius opened his eyes, his back and neck aching, obviously from sleeping weirdly. He felt a weight on his chest, moving the large blanket off of his body, he finally noticed the brown mop of unruly hair.

That's when he realised. He was asleep on a sofa (Which of course wasn't his), covered by only a thin, blue blanket with his newest best friend laying on his chest, still fast asleep. He smiled gently, his eyelids drooping over his eyes the longer he watched the taller man's chest rise and fall with every delicate breath.

-

Remus sleepily raised his head, groaning as his neck cracked slightly. He yawned, placing his hands below himself to make sure he didn't fall forward. He felt something hard and solid. He gently pushed down harder, electing a groan from the person below him. He stopped and looked down, his eyes connecting with the beautiful grey eyes of none other than Sirius Black.
"Good morning, Moons" Sirius yawned, smiling sleepily and gently kissing Remus's forehead. The sandy haired man smiled widely, snuggling into the taller's chest.

Until the doorbell decided to ring loudly and repeatedly. Remus groaned and gently pushed off of Sirius, gaining a whine of protest from the older man. He stood up and fixed his jumper, sliding it over the exposed flesh of his shoulder and walking toward his house door. He gently unlocked it, yawning again as his vision started to blur.
"Oh, Hi.... Peter?" Sirius slowly got up, his legs aching almost as much as his back.
"Who's Peter?" He yawned, placing his arms around the taller's waist.
"He's another high school friend of James and I. Haven't seen him since we left." the short, plump man was breathing heavily, his eyes wide his warty nose running wildly.
"I…it's James and Lily!" Remus was confused.
"What about them?"

Peter's face was pale as a blank sheet of paper, sweat rolling slightly down the sides and dripping down his shirt, making the scarred male cringe at the awful smell.
"Their.... Their car! Police found it earlier today, literally hanging by it's windshield in a tree!" Remus's heart seemed to stop.
"How are they? Are they alright?" His breathing was frantic and his eyes where filling with salty tears. The short man shook his head, his nose running harder than before. He wiped it on his coat sleeve, sniffing.
"No. They… they only found a baby and two bodies." Remus's heart shattered. That's it. It was over, first it was his parents, now Lily and James? No no no! This couldn't be happening. He looked up at Sirius from his place on the doormat.
"Tell me I'm dreaming, pads." the shorter shook his head and helped his sobbing friend up.

"I'm sorry, Moony. It's real."
