It's already ten at night. How is (Y/n) still asleep?

She hasn't woken up once since she fell asleep on me this morning. How can she just stay asleep this long? I haven't fallen asleep once. Then again, it's not like she's given me much opportunity to.

My mind is clouded with too many thoughts to even consider falling asleep.

Today didn't go at all how I expected it to. In fact, it went quite the opposite.

I know Jake loved, well still loves, (Y/n). Everyone does. Even (Y/n) herself knows, she just never wanted to admit it. I just never thought that the feeling would be the slightest bit mutual. Especially since she's with me.

The look on her face this morning when she told me..

A loud growl escapes my lips and I automatically bite my tongue when I look down to the stirring girl in my arms.

(Y/n) lets out a small, and honestly very adorable, groan and pulls herself closer to me, her face nuzzling into the crook of my neck.

My cheeks flush involuntary as her breath fans against my skin. She wraps her arms around me tighter, her face burying itself more into my neck.

Come on Embry, just think about something else.

Her lips brush lightly against my extremely sensitive skin. She subconsciously presses herself closer to me, causing chills to run through my entire body.

Okay, that's clearly not gonna happen.

Wolf senses themselves are ten times what a normal human's are. Our imprints multiply our wolf senses by one hundred. In short, it's taking everything in me not to flip this girl over and kiss her til she passes out. It also doesn't help that she's glowing like a firefly right now because of our imprint.

Each time (Y/n) breathes, her lips brush against my neck. I hold my breath, trying to restrain myself from what my wolf instincts are wanting me to do.

Maybe if I just wake her up it'll be better. She's been asleep long enough anyways.

"(Y/n), wake up," I whisper, shaking her slightly.

She stirs a little in reply, but remains fast asleep. I let out a sigh and shake her again.

"Baby, it's time to get up. You need to eat."

She stirs more this time, letting out another tiny groan, which only makes my face redden more. I shake her one more time, a little harder than before.

"Get up, baby."

(Y/n) finally lets out a loud groan and I can feel her eyelashes fluttering open against my skin. She lets out a huff of air, causing the hairs on the back of my neck to stand on end. I feel her start to lift herself off of me and I let out a silent sigh of relief, hoping this will calm my instincts down.

Just as she is leaning away, and I begin thinking that I'm finally in the clear, she places a single, completely innocent, kiss to the side of my neck.

Oh (Y/n), you really shouldn't have done that.

In the blink of an eye I have (Y/n) pinned beneath me, my lips locked on hers. After a split second of realization, I pull away and come face to face with a barely breathing, completely stunned, (Y/n).

My face burns red hot as I lean up off of her, sitting up on my bed.

"I-I'm sorry. Wolf instincts, hehe," I say nervously, rubbing the back of my neck.
