Blue eyes

Hunter Third POV

A few hours of great treatments later, Hunter feels herself get surrounded by a blanket. She tries to open her eyes, but someone stopped her.

"Get back to sleep. You're safe. Don't worry," she heard M'Baku say. She trusted him, so she closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

She woke up a when she heard, screams. She opened with difficulty her eyes and saw Tony, Peter and a girl that she didn't know, running towards her, tears in eyes. M'Baku still hold her in his arms, not letting her go. She realized she was still naked but a fabric was wrapped around her chest to the middle of her thighs. It was really soft and decided to keep it. A little souvenir from her nightmare. Peter ran into her and hugged her, while crying.

"You were dead! We saw you drown!", he said in tears. Hunter smiled tiredly. 

"It's gonna take more than that to kill me," she said with a tired voice.

"She needs to be checked. We did our best, but it wasn't much," M'Baku said to Shuri and Tony. Hunter turned her head towards the man that saved her.

"You're not leaving, right?", she asked, still waking up. He smiled a bit towards her.

"I'll go when you're ok with it," he said. She sighed with relief and leaned against his chest. She felt Peter caress her hair and felt good. She was safe now. But then she frowned.

"Where the Hell is Aero?", she asked. Peter looked away, looking a bit guilty.

"Peterrrrrrrr...," she warned.

"She, hum... Went to fight the guy that kidnapped you," he said with a low voice. She opened her eyes wide.

"Not William!", she said, scared.

"What?"

"There's this guy! He doesn't have anything to do with it! He just got trapped by the two others!", she explained.

"The guy kidnapped you!", Peter said, disagreeing.

"Let me tell you how he got mixed to that. So, the two guys that I named Drake and Chris wanted revenge on the Avengers and saw William -it's not his real name- fight at a bar and though he had potential. So they took him. But he's really nice! He was with me the whole time, was being really kind, and didn't look like he wanted to do that," she said, trying to get his defense.

"Now, now, little one. Keep your forces. We will have to do some tests," said M'Baku. She sighed and leaned on him. They travelled to a lab and the girl that looked her age began the tests.

"So... Do we know each other," Hunter said, after a few tests. The girl smiled at her.

"Yeah, a lot actually," she said. Hunter still didn't catch, so the girl took her phone and tapped on it a bit.

"You'll get a message when you get your phone back," she said, still smiling. Your accent....

"So... What's your name. You obviously know mine," she asked.

"My name is Shuri. But you can call me the yeeter," she said with a wink. Hunter gasped.

"No way!", she realised. BPWyeet666. Shuri laughed a bit.

"Surprise!"

"I can't believe it... Is this for real?", Hunter asked, nearly crying.

"Trust me, it's more like a nightmare, but we can always turn it into a dream," she said concentrating on her work. Hunter smiled and watched her work in silence. She saw her friend widen her eyes.

"What? What's wrong?", she asked, worried.

"Hum... Close your eyes. I want to do a test," she said, and Hunter obeyed.

"I want you to think about rain. It's raining cats and dogs," Shuri said, with a demarcated accent. Hunter though about a video she saw of Thor, starring a rain storm with thunder. And then she heard a "BANG". She opened her eyes and saw that outside it was raining like Hell. 

"Annnnnnd, that confirms my theory," the black girl said, smirking.

"What... What do you mean...," Hunter asked.

"That," pointed Shuri, "is a product of your own mind."

"I-I did that?! I can control the weather?!", she exclaimed.

"Not, really. When you "drowned" the water, kinda like... infiltrated into your body," she said, looking at the results.

"I- Wait, what? I mean... What?", Hunter said, confused. Shuri putted a hand on his shoulder and smiled.

"Breath, ok? I'll help you work on your new powers, I promise!", she said. Hunter just stood shocked, looking out of the window, where the rain was still pouring. And then she heard a faint "Hunter?" She turned her head towards her and saw Aero, tears in the eyes. Her best friend ran into her arms. 

"God! You scared the Hell out of me!" Aero shouted as they pull away.

"Hum... Hello to you too. I scared myself too, trust me. Now, tell me... Where the Hell were you?!", Hunter screamed back at her.

"Don't even. You know where."

"You idiot," she said, looking away.

"I'm not going to apologize for that. And if it makes you feel any better, I didn't get them." Aero said. Hunter sighed sighed with relief.

"Good. One of them was actually really sweet with me. It wasn't his fault," she said, looking at her hands.

"I think I know which one you're talking about," the red-hair said.

"Really?"

"I heard him yelling at the others, then he tried to leave because they wouldn't let me go. I didn't let him though." Aero looked at her lap, "I didn't want him to."

"Because you felt like he was the only one would could save you if you needed to," Hunter finished. Aero looked up.

"He reminded me of Peter and I just felt......"

"Yeah, I know," Hunter said, putting a hand on Aero's shoulder.

"Oh, and we have news," Shuri said, with a sneaky smile. Aero gave Shuri a sceptical look.

"What is it?"

"We...," Shuri started.

"Are a couple?", guessed Peter. The two concerned girls, chocked, as Aero slapped his arm.

"What?" He asked her. Hunter and Shuri blushed and didn't dare to look at each other.

"C'mon, its obvious you like each other!" Peter continued.

"Its like we've switched!" Aero exclaims in annoyance.

"What she tried to say is I have powers," said Hunter, trying to change the subject.

"You have what?! Like..like super powers?!" Aero shrieks. Shuri pointed outside, happy to change the subject.

"She started the rain! It's really cool!"

"Let me see your hands." Aero says to Hunter. She gave her her hands and Aero took them softly.

"Close your eyes."

They both close their eyes. Water and fire swirled around them and a thunder clap was heard from outside. The ground started to shake and the wind was blowing so much you could hear it whistle.

"What the-", Peter started, but didn't get to finish as an explosion of white and yellow light ignites, blowed everyone away from the pair of enhanced teens. All they saw after is blue and red eyes and then everything is silence. Aero and Hunter are gone.
