Heartbeat

Hunter's third POV

Hunter was woken up by her ringing phone. She looked at the time: it's just been 20 minutes since she fell asleep! The movie was still rolling, so she shut it, answering to her phone.

"Hello?", she said in a tired voice.

"Hunter, it- its Aero," she heard her brother say.

"Wait a sec, May and Shuri are sleeping," she stood up and went to her room,"Ok, what is it?"

"Rhino escaped."

She stood there for a minute, not proceeding the information. 

"I'm sorry, what?"

"He got out and-" Peter almost started crying, "He attacked Aero. She's hurt real bad and she's unconscious and...and I don't know what to do. You and Shuri need to get over here. I don't know how long she's gonna last."

"I don't... I thought S.H.I.E.L.D. was on him!", she said in a panicked voice. Aero.

"Well, they're not now and Aero is dying. Get your asses over here!", she quickly shook Shuri in panic, trying not to wake May up.

"Mmh... What's going on?", she asked slowly.

"It's Aero," Hunter said in a hushed tone, trying not to cry. Shuri's eyes opened right away and she stood.

"We're taking May's car," she said, taking the keys.

"You know how to drive?", asked Shuri, a bit scarred.

"Sometimes at night, May teaches me in a parking lot," she said looking at her friend.

"Good enough," said the princess, following Hunter. They entered the car and drove to the tower. The ride was a bit messy, but neither of them cared. They entered the tower and FRIDAY took the girls where Tony, Peter and Hunter were.

"That was quick," said Tony.

"Yeah, well this my friend we are talking about!", said Hunter in panic, still in pajamas with morning hair. Too bad it's still the night.

"Where is she?", asked Shuri. Tony led them to a metal table in the middle of the lab. She was unconscious and she looked almost blue. She was barely breathing and her white shirt was now red with hot blood.

"Oh dear...," said Shuri, has Hunter hide herself in her friend's neck. She took Peter's hand, trying not to cry.

"We need more of that green shit you saved me with," Peter said as Tony nodded.

"We still have enough from the last batch."

Tony putted it in a needle and injected it into her neck. Aero's back arched from the table and she let out a blood curdling scream. Then it stopped. She fell limp once again, confusing the group.

"What... Why did it not work? Mr. Stark, why did it not work?!", exclaimed Peter.

"I don't know! It should've worked- wait..."

"What?!" Shuri asked.

"Did he look different?" Tony asked.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Peter questioned.

"Rhino! Did he look different?!"

"I mean, I guess! His horns were back!" He says.

"Shit! I don't think we can do anything for her."

"What....no! No, no, no! She can't die! She can't," Peter said, his voice breaking at the end.

"I'm sorry kid."
