~(Y/N)~

Levi stood up from his seat and glared at me. "I am not the kind of person who would manipulate someone... but if you're so worried then I suggest you find another job..." he says then begins to walk off, he stops just at the edge of the sidewalk and turns back. "You know... the only reason why I wanted your forgiveness was so we could get past this... Because believe it or not, I actually care about you," he says.

His eyes, filled with her stared back at me one last time before hearing him say. "With you... it was never about the sex." With that, he got back into the car and left me there at the restaurant. To reflect on what I said to him, to make me regret saying the things I said.

I turn forward and go back to finish my food. Afterward, I paid for both meals and went home decided that my day at work was done. Believe it or not, I actually care about you. The words replayed in my head over and over, surely I did regret it.

~Present Time~

It had been a year since I quit working at the cleaning company ran by Levi Ackerman. Now, I was working at a local cafe shop. I no longer lived with my roommate. She got married and moved outside of the city now.

I hadn't seen Levi since I quit. And I hadn't slept with anyone since Levi either. Today was a rather busy day at the cafe shop, people were in and out or sitting at the tables either reading or on their laptops working. I worked the cash register getting people's orders and money, while some of the other workers were hard making the drinks.

It slowed down after a bit and I started to sort through the money, making sure the cash was in the correct spots to make it easier on the boss. Shutting the drawer I let out a sigh and wipe the counter down real fast.

That's when I heard someone clear their throat, so I raise my head thinking it was another customer waiting. "Yes-" I stop and look up to find him. Standing there with a bottle of tea in his hand. Walking over to the cash register I type in the code for the tea and it comes out as a dollar fifty.

"Dollar fifty please," I say.

Levi then goes through his wallet and pulls out two dollars. Quickly I place the cash in the register and begin to fetch his change when he raises his hand up. "Keep the change," he says. Looking over at him I nod my head, the thing that made me more curious was that he wasn't leaving, he continued to stand there as I handed him the receipt.

He then grabbed a napkin to my right and began to write something down. Sliding the napkin over my way I look down. 'Meet me outside the company building today at 6.' I read. After reading it I raise my head ready to question him but he was already at the door. I crumble the note and sneakily slide it into my pocket. My heart pounding, my mind racing with confusion on why he'd want to see me.

I shake my head and get back to work as the next customer comes up to order their drink. I did my best to not think about what would happen at six tonight.

~Time Skip~

After work it was dark out, the city still busy though. Cars drove past the shop and people were walking up and down the sidewalk. Before meeting Levi I decided to go home, change and get my dog so he could go out for a walk.

At home, I quickly hang up my coat momentarily and not a moment later as the door shut my pure black German Shepherd came running out of my room. Kneeling down to his level I scratch the top of his head. "Hey, Bear." I greet. He greets me with slobbery kisses, clearly excited to see me home. Standing back up I walk over into my room and change into more casual clothes.

Walking out of my room in a t-shirt and pair of jeans I quickly slip on some boots. I grab the leash on the way, walking up to Bear I quickly latch the leash onto his collar. Leading him over to the door I grab my coat again and quickly throw it on before opening the door.

Bear quickly bolts out of the apartment and down the hall yanking me out. I quickly shut and lock the door before shoving my keys into my pocket, pulling him back gently I get him to slow down.

Outside the building start making my way towards the company building disregarding the fact I'd be a little late. I grew more nervous the closer we got to the building, I made sure to avoid seeing this place ever again. As I reached the front I saw him standing there and stop in my tracks. Am I really going to do this?

Bear seemed to have ideas of his own when he tugged really hard on the leash catching me off guard. Thanks to my loose hold he got loose and bolted towards Levi. I gasp softly watching as Bear stops just next to him, his tail wags back and forth as if he knew Levi.

Confused I walk up to the two and quickly take hold of Bear's leash again. "Sorry about that," I say. He looks down at Bear then back up and me with a stoic expression.

"So you have a dog now?" he asks.

I nod and pull Bear back over to me. "Had for a few months now... what did you want to talk about?" I ask.

Levi cocks his head to the side beckoning me to follow him. I do so and walk alongside him down the sidewalk away from the building. "I see you're working at the cafe shop," he says.

I nod silently. "Yeah, have been since after quitting. It pays well." I tell him.

I watched as Levi looked down at his hands and nodded slowly. "I'm sorry about what happened that day... it was rude of me to say those things-

"No you were right I was being paranoid-"

"No, I was rude and didn't see things in your point of view. I should have respected your wishes instead I got butthurt because you didn't want to go out with me." he interrupts.

I stop and look at him seriously. "Are we ever not going to fight?" I ask.

He looks back at me and shrugs. "I guess we were both in the wrong," he says softly. Soon we continue to walk down the sidewalk silently until coming to the corner. Is this the only reason why he wanted me to come out tonight? Was to apologize?

As we stop at the corner from the corner of my eye I see Levi smirking gently. "What?" I ask.

He shakes his head and steps in front of me. "You know I still wanna take you out," he says.

I smile and look down at Bear who sat. "Levi..." I mutter.

"It's not like it would affect our jobs."

He had a point but I wasn't sure if I wanted to be in a relationship at this time. "I don't know Levi..." I say softly as I continue to stare at the ground.

"Think about it... you know my number," he says.

Looking up I watched as he turned away and walked across the street leaving me at the corner, to watch him disappear. Then looking down at Bear I cock my head back and turn the other way. "Let's go," I say as I gently tug at the leash.

Back home I unleashed Bear and hung up the leash and coat. Kicking off my shoes I then make my way over to the couch and fall onto it. Laying on my stomach I turn my head to the side and sigh softly. After all this time he still wants to date me.
