~(Y/N)~

It was Christmas Eve. I was out in the stables cleaning when I heard laughter and screaming. I walk through the stables that had been decorated. Tomorrow would also be Levi's birthday. I walk up to the doors finding Hanji and a few other people having a snowball fight. I noticed that Captain Levi was standing there watching. "Oh, com'on Levi have a little fun!" Hanji says tossing a snowball at Levi's face.

"Knock it off four-eyes before I beat your ass!" he snaps.

Hanji stood there laughing at his expression and watched as the snow slide down his face. I giggled at his expression even though it had been the same as always. He wiped the melted snow off his face and continued watching them. Hanji looked over at me and smiled. "(Y/N)! Come through some snowballs with us!" she yells.

I walk out and got a sudden chill from the cold breeze that hit my face. I shook my head and headed over and stood next to Levi. I was about to go in when Hanji stopped me. "Come throw some snowballs with us it'll be fun!" she says tugging on my arm.

"It's cold Hanji," I tell her.

"Please! Maybe get Levi to throw some at us!" she begs.

I stood there but didn't throw any. I was already cold as it is and throwing snowballs would just make me colder. I stood there next to Levi and watched them run around. It seemed to get colder by the minute, I stood there shaking from the cold breeze.

I wasn't expecting anything to hit me but one of the guys threw a snowball right at my face. I held back the tears because it honestly hurt. I wipe my face getting off the melting snow. Levi looked down at me seeming a bit concerned. He then took off the scarf he had on and placed it around my face. "There brat that should make you feel better," he says.

"Oops sorry (Y/N)," Hanji said.

"Tch idiot watch where you're throwing." Levi snaps. When Hanji turned back around Levi had a snowball ready. He threw it and hit her in the back of the head. He stood there with his usual dull expression. Hanji turned around shocked. She was about to throw another snowball but I stood in front of him protecting him.

Once again I got snow on my face. It stung and made me tear up a bit more from the pain. "(Y/N)! You weren't supposed to block him!" Hanji laughed. Levi then leaned down looking at my wet face. He lightly wiped off the melted snow from my face with his hand.

"You alright?" he asks continuing to wipe my face.

I nod then wipe my eyes. Another cold breeze blew at my face making me shiver like crazy. Levi then stepped in front of me and embraced me.

It helped a little. I was thrown off by the way Levi was acting towards me. He didn't usually worry too much about his comrades unless we were out in the field so it was odd seeing him tend to me like this. He pulled back a bit and looked down at me. "We don't have to stay out here... we can go inside if you want." I tell him.

He didn't answer he just stared at me. He released me and went back to standing next to me. I face forward and stay quiet. Another cold breeze hit my face making shiver worse than previously. I even started to hold myself. The snow was heavy. We stood out there for about an hour watching them. My face was going numb and every now and again I'd see Levi staring at me. What's up with him? He's acting weird. He then grabbed my hand and led me inside.

I was so confused at why Levi had been acting weird towards me. He opened his door and threw me in. I almost lost my balance from him throwing me. He shut the door then took off his coat. I was still shaking from being cold. He took my hand again and led me over to the fireplace. I sat in front waiting for him to start it. I watched as the flames grew, it made me feel a little bit better but I was still shivering.

"Tch... your shiver is annoying... stay here I'll get you a blanket." he says walking over to his bed grabbing his blanket. He walked back over and dropped it on me. I fiddled with it to where it was comfortable for me. He went and did some paperwork leaving me alone for the moment.

"C-captain... do y-you do this w-with just a-anyone?" I ask. I look back at him seeing him drop his pen.

"Of course not," he says getting up. Another unexpected chill went down my spine making me shiver.

"How are you still cold?" he asks.

"I-It's only been a-a f-few minutes sir," I answer holding myself tighter.

He got up from his seat and sat behind me. He pulled me into his chest. I couldn't help but blush from the sudden contact. He wrapped his arms around me and laid his head down on my shoulder.

"You know s-sir... I-I don't think anyone found you a birthday gift yet." I say.

"I know and I don't care," he says.

"But it's your birthday," I say looking up at him.

"It's just another day," he says.

"Not to me." I blurt out. He looked down at me surprised by my words. I avert my eyes forward.

"Why exactly do you care?" he asks.

"No one ever celebrates your birthday really... they forget the fact that it is because it's also Christmas... I believe I'm the only one who actually got you a gift." I say.

"What did you get me?" he asks.

I look up at him for a moment then back down and dig into my jacket to grab a small box. I had gotten him a necklace that had the wings of freedom on it. I also wanted to surprise him and show him I got him some more cleaning supplies knowing he'd love that more than my necklace. I held it out and handed it to him. "This is the first gift," I tell him.

He opens it revealing the necklace. He took it out of the box and held it out in front of me. "Put it on will you?" he asks.

"S-sure," I say then turning to him on my knees. I wrapped the chain around his neck and clipped it in the back and let it fall on his collarbone. I let my hand rest on his collar bone. Everything felt like it was going in slow motion.

"What was the other gift?" he asks.

I look up at him. Then I realized his hands were on my hips. "Oh," I say getting up and extending my hand down to him waiting for him to grab a hold. When he did I helped him up then led him to the training room. I stopped in front of the door and turned to him. "Before I show you what's behind this door... I just wanted to say that you may like this gift better than my first.... And I'm okay with that." I tell him.

He looked at me confused for a moment. I turn back and open the door revealing a whole new set of cleaning supplies. I look back to see him trying to hold in laughter but couldn't. This had been the first time I had seen him smile, let alone laugh. "What's so funny?" I ask.

"I already knew about the cleaning supplies... I just didn't expect you to be the one who got them." he chuckles.

"You knew?!" I say shocked.

"Yes I did and to be honest I like the first gift better," he says placing his hand on the back of my head.

"Oh... well, I thought you'd like the cleaning supplies better." I say avoiding eye contact. He was getting closer to my face making me blush like crazy.

"Well, I like them both very much... now I have a present for you," he whispers.

I look at him a bit confused. I felt his other arm wrap around my waist pulling me in closer. His lips pressed against mine. His kiss was soft and sweet. I was hesitant at first but soon kissed him back and wrapped my arms around his neck. He slightly lifted me off the ground with his lips still connected to mine. I could feel his tongue running across my bottom lip asking for entrance. I denied him at first until he lifted me up higher. I gasped after feeling his hands on my ass supporting me which gave him the opportunity to explore my mouth.

After our make-out session, he set me back down on the ground and gave me one final kiss. "Merry Christmas brat," he says. It had been the best Christmas I've had in ages.
