Injured Levi x Reader (Why I Do It)

I had been cleaning the headquarters since the scouts left for the expedition which was this morning, it was now the sun was beginning to set. It was me and a couple of other people. I was just about to go into Captain Levi's office when I heard someone shouting. "They're back!"

I look out the window finding them coming in through the gate. They looked pretty beat up. I set down the cleaning supplies and go to help them. I run down the hall and out the door. I start helping them get off their horses and to the infirmary.

Once everyone was settled I go back and get the cleaning supplies to go into Levi's office. When I was at the door I heard talking from inside. I knock on the door. "Name and business." I heard Levi say.

"Cadet (L/N), I'm here to clean your office," I say.

"Come in," he answers.

I open the door finding Commander Erwin, they ignore me and go back to talking while I clean. I keep my back faced away from them. I go to clean the other side of the room when Erwin left the room. It was just me and Levi. I quietly continue to work when I turn to see Levi lifting up his shirt revealing a gash in his side. "Oh god." I gasp then set down the supplies.

"It's fine," he says.

"Oh shut up, that is not fine Levi... how did you get this?" I ask.

"You think I know? I was too busy killing titans to care." he snaps.

"I better stitch it up," I say grabbing the first aid supplies at the table next to us.

I open it up to get a needle and thread. I turn to see he was shirtless now causing my face to heat up. "What?" he asks.

"Uhm nothing," I say nervously.

"You're blushing," he says.

"Shut up no I'm not!" I yell. I drop the needle and thread to cover my face. I heard him snicker at my reaction.

"Are you going to stitch me up or not?" he asks.

I uncover my face and look at him. It had been three months since I joined Levi's squad and so far he hasn't let me go with him. He'd tell me to stay and clean the place. I pick up the first aid kit and get out a new set of threads and needle. I go and kneel down to get a closer look. "This might sting a bit," I warn him.

I began sticking the needle in and stitching the gash shut. "You know (Y/N), I've seen you train and you're very good." he compliments. Levi wasn't the type to hand out compliments left and right. I look up and smile at him then go back to finishing the stitch.

"I sure do feel useless though... I never get to go on the expeditions, instead, I'm stuck here clean... not that I'm complaining." I say avoiding eye contact.

"I know, and I'm sorry," he says. Like that'll make a difference.

I finish the stitch and tie it off and back away. "Don't be? You're improving my cleaning skills, at least I'll make a hell of a maid if this job fails." I snap.

"Hey? Is that any way to speak to your captain?" he asks.

"Sorry, I just want to get out there and actually do something, and you're apologizing thinking it will make a difference, I'm sure you'll keep me here the next time you decide to take the squad out," I say.

"You want to know why I do it?" he asks.

"No, not really because I'm sure it'll be some bullshit excuse," I say walking out of his office with the cleaning supplies. I slam his door. I was about to walk back to my room when I ran into Eren.
