Chapter 1: Beyoncé & Trey and Shawn & Kelly

Trey sat in his best friend Beyoncé's living room staring at the TV as if nothing was there. This depression had been going on a week and Beyoncé was getting tired of it.

While Beyoncé walked in the room she thought to herself.

"I've been the supportive friend. I've let him cry on my shoulder, but this is the last straw. Now it's time to move the hell on."

Beyoncé stood right in front of Trey.

"Hey, it's time to get up and move on" she said.

Trey looked straight through her before he answered.

"What am I supposed to do without her? I loved her. How could she do that to me?" Trey said through tears threatening to spill.

Beyoncé sat next to Trey and told him the only thing she knew she could tell her best friend and that was the truth.

"Look Trey, to be honest I never thought this would happen. You two were so happy it was kind of sickening" she added to lighting the mood, but I didn't work. "All I can say is yes she was dead wrong for what she did and if you'd let me I'd kick her ass for you. You can't let here take your joy. You have to rise above this."

Trey looked defeated, so he decided to give in to what his friend was saying.

"I don't know Bey, I'll try to move on but after you've been cheated on it's not the easiest thing to do." Trey said.

Beyoncé thought of a great idea.

"I know what will make you feel better. We could still go to Vegas. It would be so much fun. What do you think?" Beyoncé said with a big smile.

Trey was a bit skeptical. He wasn't sure about the trip.

"Bey I don't know, what could Vegas offer me right now?"

Beyoncé looked at him like he was crazy.

"What do you mean? We could relax, check out some clubs, gamble, eat some great food. What else do you need?"

Trey being still not so sure just shrugged his shoulders.

"You know what? We're going, get packed I'm making reservations." Beyoncé said over her shoulder as she walked out the room.

Trey was defeated. He finally got up to pack.

"What's the worst thing that can happen?" He thought.

"And five, six, five, six, seven, eight!" Kelly yelled as the music started to play. She watched her students dance a hip-hop routine to "Cut It" by OTGenesis.

She couldn't understand where the energy was these last couple of days. Her students didn't seem to have any of it. It was really starting to stress her out.

"Hey! Hey!" she yelled over the music as she went over to turn it off.  "Look I don't know where y'all energy went these last couple of days, but y'all need to find it." Kelly said and they just looked at her blankly. "You know what? Pack up for today, class is over." Kelly said.

As students began leaving one of her students came to talk to her, Emani, also known as her closest cousin even though they were seven years apart.

"What's going on with you? You never let use leave early, even if we do suck" Emani said matter of fact.

"Y'all just didn't have any energy today, or for the past two and it was starting to annoy me." Kelly said annoyed looking at her cousin.

"Okay, okay I can take a hint, I'll see you tomorrow. Oh and by the way, thanks for answering the phone when the school called. They really thought you were my mother." Emani said thankful and laughing. "Clutch."

"Aye! Don't do that again" Kelly said. "That text was not warning enough. If your mama finds out I'm taking you down with me."

"Look she not gonna find out." Emani said laughing "And since you let us out a hour early I guess I'll just head home"

Just before Kelly was about to speak.

"I'll be safe and I'll call you when I'm in the house." Emani said. "I'm out."

As Kelly sat back and closed her eyes she heard movement behind her.

"Emani, go home already!" Kelly yelled out with her eyes still closed.

"Uh, not really." She heard.

Kelly turned around in her chair and noticed it was Shawn.

Shawn was coming to give Kelly a full on bear hug until he noticed she was sweaty so he stepped back.

"What?" Kelly asked.

Shawn looked at her.

"Maybe after you shower, then we'll talk, but for now back all the way up" he said laughing "How was class?"

"Class was..." Kelly tried to find a good word to use for her class."...interesting"

"Let me guess?" Shawn said already knowing the answer "No energy"

"Not an ounce" Kelly replied. Shawn picked up a towel and handed it to Kelly.

"Well their teenagers, it happens sometimes"

"Yeah, I know" Kelly said. "Man, I need a vacation. Just to get away for little bit"

Shawn thought of a great idea.

"Hey Kell, you think you could let your assistant take over for a couple days?" Shawn asked.

"Depends what for. Why?" Kelly asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Because we're going to Vegas" Shawn said with a smile.

"I'm down, let's go" Kelly said eagerly. "I'll call to get plane tickets"

"I think I got a connect for a hotel." Shawn said. "It's about to be lit."
