1 month later.

Emani had been going to school on the regular ever since she got caught. Shawn and Beyoncé were loosening the reigns allowing Emani to go to school by herself, they gave her a little trust and she was proving herself. Kelly was slowly coming around but Emani knew she still didn't trust her.

Emani was in math class with her friends doing work, talking and sipping on a snapple. As she was minding her own business someone walked in the class and her friend stopped talking. 

"What?" Emani asked.

Her friend pointed behind her.

"What?" Emani said as she turned around.

She saw Kelly, Beyoncé and Shawn standing there.

"What are they doing here." Emani said a little above a whisper.

"Yo, what you do?" Jay asked

"What you mean? I been to school everyday you know that." Emani said to Jay.

She turned back and saw them take a seat in the back of the class.

"Do they really feel they have to watch me? It's been like 6 weeks, I've done everything they've asked me too. They know when I see my mother, they know when my brother see's me. I've done nothing wrong, I don't understand why they treat me like this." Emani thought.

"They came to watch me, I should give them a show." Emani said.

"Nah, don't do that. Just do what you were doing before they got here. We was talking because we're already finished." Shanea said.

"I guess you right." Emani said sipping her drink.

"You heard August's new song?" Shanea asked.

"No Love? Yeah that's my jam right there." She said.

Emani finished the conversation with her friends and acted as if her "guards" weren't even there. She handed in her work at the end of class and left to go to lunch.

"Emani!" she heard Shawn call but she ignored.

"E! Seriously stop." he said and she stopped.

"What?" Emani said.

"Why you act like you didn't hear me calling you?" he asked.

"Because you not even suppose to be here. What you checking up on me?" she asked.

"It's not even like that" he said.

"Oh really? So what you doing here?" she asked.

"We set up an appointment with your advisor." he said.

"Why?" she asked.

"Because I asked him to." Kelly said.

"I figured, well then let's go. Your cutting in to my lunch." Emani said as she walked towards the office. She went to her advisors door and knocked.

"Hello Emani." she said.

"Hello Mrs. Anderson, they said they had an appointment." Emani said walking in the office.

"Yeah, How are y'all doing?" Mrs. Anderson asked.

"We're good." Kelly said sitting in chair.

Beyoncé sat in the other chair and Shawn and Emani stood.

"So what did y'all want to see me about?" she asked.

"Well we wanted to check Emani's grades and attendance." Kelly said.

The advisor did some stuff the computer to bring up Emani's record.

"Well her grades are all A's and one B. As off six weeks ago she been to school everyday but prior to that it was a bit shaky." she said.

"See I told you!" Emani said.

Kelly and Beyonce looked back at Emani and she just closed her mouth.

"Thank you, we just wanted to make sure she was doing good." Kelly said standing.

"Well she's been doing good and if she continues to keep her attendance up she could be Student of the Year with her grades. I mean other than the attendance we've never had a problem with Emani." she said.

"Well, thank you for you time." Kelly said as they exited the office.

They all walked out of the office and Emani kept walking.

"Emani" Kelly called out and she turned around.

"What?" she asked.

"You know why I did what I did." Kelly said.

"No I don't, these past six weeks I've done everything you've asked me to do. I can't pee without y'all knowing, I feel like I'm in jail. Yeah, I messed up but y'all don't have no trust barely. Just this week Bey hasn't had to drive and pick me up. What do I have to do so y'all can have a little faith in me." Emani said.

"Look-" Kelly started.

"Can I just please go to lunch and finish my day." Emani said holding back her tears.

"Yeah" Kelly said.

"Is someone picking me up or am I aloud to walk alone?" Emani asked.

"You can walk." Kelly said.

Emani turned and walked towards the cafeteria leaving them standing there. They left the school building and went to the car. Emani finished her day at school holding back tears all day. She vowed to never have people see her cry. In here mind it shows a sign of weakness. The only person that she would cry openly with was her mother. Instead of walking to Shawn and Beyonce's she went to her moms. She knocked on the door and waited. She knew her mother had this day off. Her mother opened the door and she broke down.

"Mom, I'm so sorry. I don't want to stay with Shawn anymore. I just want to come home. I'll follow the rules and do everything you say. I'm sorry." Emani said as she cried in her mothers arms.

"Shh, it's okay." her mom said leading her into her old bedroom.

"Mom, I kept my promise and did everything I was suppose to and they still don't trust." Emani sobbed.

"Hey, it's okay. Just stop crying, your gonna make yourself sick." she said. "Hey, just stop crying and lay down." 

Her mom made her lay down and she told her she would be back. Her mother went to the phone to call Shawn to see what happened.

"Hello."

"Shawn, are you with Kelly?" she asked.

"Yeah." he said.

"Put your phone on speaker." she said.

He did.

"What the hell did you do to Emani? She came crying saying y'all don't trust her and she doesn't want to stay with you." she said.

"I didn't do anything. That was Kelly." he said.

"What?! All I did was schedule a meeting." Kelly said.

"After I told you she was doing fine." Shawn said.

"That's not-"

"Look! Be over here in an hour so we can settle this. Understood?" her mom said.

"Yes." they said and she hung up the phone.

When her mother hung up the phone she rubbed her temples before heading back towards the bed room. When she walked in Emani was sleep with dried tears on her face. She sat down next to her and just watched her sleep. She knows this girl has been through a lot over these past few weeks now she guessed her daughter broke down. Even though she knew her daughter brought it on herself she would never want her daughter to hurt like this.

She left out of the room and went into the living room to wait for Kelly and Shawn. She waited about thirty minutes and her doorbell rang. She went to the door to let them in and they sat in the living room.

"So what happened?" she asked.

"Well a couple days ago Kelly asked how E was doing so I told her she was fine but she wouldn't believe me so she scheduled an appointment with her advisor." Shawn said.

"Why didn't you believe him Kelly?" she asked.

"It's not that I don't believe Shawn, I just wanted to be sure cause Emani ain't the most trusting at the moment." Kelly said.

"Well now she doesn't want to live with you Shawn and she's mad a both of y'all." she said.

"What I do?" Shawn asked.

"She thinks the both you planned this." she said.

"What?! Thanks a lot Kelly!" he said.

"What?! It's my fault?" Kelly said.

"Yes! If you would have just believed me no of this would have happened." he said.

"So I'm in the wrong?" she asked her aunt.

"I'm not saying you are it's just the way she took it." she said.

Kelly just sighed.

"Where is she?" Kelly asked.

"Asleep, Look she can come back because of what I can tell she has followed all of your rules and she allows ask me to come home when she sees me so as long as she follows my rules she can come home." she said.

"Okay Auntie, we'll come by tomorrow and I'll bring the twins." Shawn said.

"Good and bring Bey with you." she said hugging them as they left.

She rested her back on the back of the door and hoped she was doing the right thing.
