I sat bored in class fondling with my hair and doodling in my favourite sketch book wondering if this day was every going to end. Adrianna sat across from me and kept pulling funny faces to make me laugh.

"Stop it!" I mouthed, trying not to alert the teacher.

Adrianna and I have been friends for almost three years now and still going strong. At school we are known as the AA duo... Adrianna and Alison. The two who keep getting into trouble for random shit. I guess you could say that most of the time some alcohol was involved.

Adrianna threw a crumpled-up piece of paper at me and it hit me right between the eyes. I burst out laughing and goofily snorted as I did.

"Detention you two... Again." Mr Hanson said nonchalantly with his back to us. Go figure. He didn't even need to look to see who it would be. The famous two.

I unfolded the paper that she threw at me and it read My place after-school? Mom's only coming back later.

Well there goes that. Staying after school for detention, I guess.

"We can still hang out if you want to. Come over and I'll make us all dinner. Mom will appreciate it. Besides, Graham is off sick for the whole week so I can's see him either." Adrianna was clearly in a party mood.

"Yeah sure, why not? Not like I have anything better to do on a Friday night. You know... I've never met your mom before." I said matter of fact. Adrianna talks about her a lot, but she was always away on some business trip.

"She's cool." Adrianna stated, her mind clearly somewhere else. If you ask me, she was already thinking of what kind of booze to get for the night.

"Alright... See you in the AA meeting at one." We both laughed and headed to separate classes.
