Y/n's pov.  

" I'm sorry for what Dante has said to you " she said.

" It's not your fault " I said.

" And Carter's a dick " she said.

" Yeah, Louise despises him. . . .a lot " I said.

" But how did Louise know he killed your dad? " She asked.

" He went and decided to visit Louise himself while he was at college " I said.

" What a psycho " she said.

" It's what I said six years ago " I said.

" I didn't call anyone " she said and I look up at her in shock.

" I overheard your conversation outside the door " she said.

" I thought you would've hated me for an attempted murder " I said.

" You were forced, after what you have told me, how can I? " She asked.

" It was my plan from the beginning to get payback and take that contract, before anyone gets hurt or, better get a coffin ready " I said.

" I gotta say, I couldn't survive that, I'm would've been dead by now " I look at her with a 'really' expression.

" No pun intended " she finishes off.

" How did you even manage to get all of this stuff? " She asked as she looks around the room where there's a lot of medical stuff and etc.

" Amazon " I said, she chuckles.

" It was hard at first when I tried to save Jae's father and mother, his father didn't make it " I said.

" At least you've tried your best " she said, I nodded.

" How are you feeling right now?, Any better? " I asked.

" Kind of sore " she place her hand on her chest.

" It's been a few hours since you woke up, It's best if you rest " I said and stood up.

" That rhymes " she said as I press a button for the bed to go down and straighten it for her.

I walk to the door and switch off the light then close the door.

My phone's ringtone then went off, I take out my phone from my back pocket and look at the screen.

My thumb hover over the answer button.

" Better answer that, it's getting annoying " Tanya exits her room and walk into the kitchen.

I tap on decline and put my phone in silent.

" It's just one of my friends calling, I'll call him back later, I gotta go " I said and grab my jacket, putting it on.

" Y/n " I turn back around.

She gestured her head to her right and I look at her right to see my satchel.

" Right " I walk over there and hang it over my shoulder.

I put my phone inside and head over to the door.

" Thanks " I said and exit the apartment.

I close the door and sigh as I feel my phone vibrate. I walk down the hallway as I take out my phone.

" What does he want? " I asked myself.

I decline and switch off the vibration. I put back my phone inside and went to the elevator.
