^Nora's dress^
Before anyone could believe it, the day of the Cheltenham races had arrived causing Nora to get up early to fill the large brass bath tub with hot water as she bathed as part of her process for preparing to get ready for the day knowing that it promised to be anything but boring considering who her date was and the gang that he was part of and who she seemed to be surrounded by at all time. Once she was thoroughly bathed she took her time in getting dressed in the red silk dress with a v neckline and fell to to her knees as well as wore a pair of darker red heeled shoes, she decided to calm her curls down slightly before tucking it up and pinning it up to make it look more styled while deciding to wear makeup than usual as she wore red lipstick to match her dress and slightly smoked eye makeup. As soon she was ready to go, she grabbed her dark hat and long black coat with a sheer lining before heading downstairs where her brother was getting ready to play his own part in this mission for the Peaky Blinders as he wore his usual hat with the razors in place as he turned and took in his sister's appearance
" this looks okay, right? It's not too much, is it?" Nora said mistaking his look for something negative as she suddenly began to wonder if her outfit was too much since she was worried about not fitting in
" no, you look amazing. If I didn't know any better then I'd think you were one of those rich girls that drink champagne and flirt with men rather than watching the race" Jamie said as he thought of them
" that's what I was aiming for since all Tommy said was to something red. I'm assuming he needs me to get into where Billy Kimber is hanging out during the race" Nora said as she checked that she had everything
" what has Tommy told you about today?" Jamie said wondering whether or not Tommy had kept his sister in the dark as he thought about how she would probably demand to always be in the know
" enough, I mean I know I'm bait for Billy Kimber and I know that Tommy wants to do business with him to become him and I know by the looks of you that there's bound to be trouble" Nora said wondering
" you have dad's knife on you?" Jamie said thinking about the knife that once belonged to their father before he had walked out of them when they were children after their mother had died of childbirth
" I always have dad's knife on me. God knows, it's the only thing he ever left us with that's worth a damn" Nora said showing that she was still so resentful of their father leaving two small children
" that's true but just do me a favour and use it if you think you're in danger especially if Tommy's not with you" Jamie said affectionately as he thought about how something bad could happen to her
" and what do you think is going to happen exactly?" Nora said with an edge to her voice as she thought about how things had a way of escalating whenever the Peaky Blinders were involved
