The helicopter lands at my old Marine Corps Base of Operations. I grab my stuff and hop off. I walk straight to the mess hall. "Aten-hut!" I yell into the room as I enter. They all stand at attention, no clue who called it. "Present, arms!" I say, and they salute."Order, too!" I give, and they stand back at attention. "Ready, front!" I say, and they all turn to face me. I wait for them to all standstill. I give the at-ease command. "Stone!" they all say. "Miss me, assholes?" I ask. They all take turns greeting me. My old squadmates are the first to meet me. They've all ranked up. My best buddy and I hug each other. We went through JROTC together in high school. He was a First Lieutenant when I left. Now he's a Major. "Good job man, real proud of ya." My lowest ranking squadmate appears now. "Private! How ya been?" I ask him. "Been good! I'm no longer ranked as a private! I'm a Sergeant!" He says "Nice! Keep working at it. Now, where's Chief?" I ask. "KIA. We have a new commander." Private says. He leads me to his/her office. "Who is it?" A female voice responds from the inside. "It's Chavez! May I come in?" He asks. "Anyone with you?" She asks. "Yes. He used to work here." Is the response from Private. The door opens and reviles a tall woman in dress blues. I see her rank as a Colonel and stand at attention and salute. I was trained to do this as respect for any higher-ranking officer. She salutes me back. We cut and greet each other. "Jason Stone. I'm sure you've heard of me from my old squad." I say to her. "Sophia Rhodes. I certainly have. I heard you were one of the best." She says. "What brings you back to the Corps?" She says. "I was told by Harry to come back. There's some kind of major threat and you needed a Rainbow troop." I tell her. She knows about Rainbow and Harry. "True, there's been a major Mask threat in Stalingrad and the government there needs lots of reinforcement." She tells me. "Back to Stalingrad, I see? Well, I'm ready. Let me get my squad back together." I tell her. She dismisses me and I take my leave.
I walk back to the mess hall. People are a lot more talkative, as they're confused about who I am. I walk to the front of the room, where I was when I first got here. "Aten-hut!" I say, and they stand. "Ready, Front!" They turn to face me. "At ease. Do not sit down." I say. "So, some of you don't know me? That's fine. Time will tell you who I am. But for now, I need Ultra Squad Bravo with me. We will go to Barracks Number 3 at 1900. Dismissed." I say. The people not in my squad sit back down. Those in my squad finish up what they were doing and head to barracks 3. I don't remember exactly where barracks 3 is, so I just trail behind my squad. Once we arrive, I hear the gangway order and every one makes way for me to pass into the barrack. Once I'm in, I tell them to stand at ease and wait for my next instruction. I still have my bags, so I throw them onto the bed closest to the door. "My bed. No one else's. You take it, I'll take you out of it and you'll sleep on the floor." I say. They understand that I'm taking this bed in order to keep them safe. I take off my shirt and throw it onto my bed and go into the head. I take a quick shower and shave. I put on my Marine Corps shorts and a green t-shirt. I step back in to see two of my troops in a fight. "Hey! Cut that shit out!" I yell at them. "We need to work as a unit once more. If y'all can't handle that, you're going to die." I say. "Alright, listen up. There's a major terrorist threat in Stalingrad. The only reason I was dispatched here was to help fight these monsters. I can also call in backup if we need it." I say and pull out a phone. "Anyone takes this, I'll kill you. We leave on Friday at 0400. Dismissed." I tell them. We all scatter. I head to go work out. Once I reach the gym, I see some other Marines. "Hey, you must be the high and mighty Ultra." One says. "I sure am. How're you?" I ask him. He reaches out to punch me. I dodge his attack. "Listen here big shot," Two says. "We're the big shots around here. Johnson, Jackson, and Joestar." Three says, pointing to each as he says their names. "Joestar, huh? I used to work with a Joestar. He was awesome." I say. The three try to attack me all at once. I move out of the way and hit Jackson in the chest. I then go to hit Johnson in the back, knocking the wind out of him. I grab Joestar and lift him. "Son, you want to do your father proud, right? If so, then drop this fight. I don't want to beat the shit out of you, but if I must, I must." I tell him. He taps my arm as a way of saying let go. I drop him. He grabs his buddies and leaves. I do some pull-ups and run on the treadmill a bit. I'm kind of sad because Mira isn't here to work out with me, but I'm on a mission. Mission, troops, own welfare. How it has been, how it will always be.
Once I'm done working out, I head back to the barracks. My troops are there and are in their bunks. I see we have an odd number because the top bed of my bunk is empty. Oh well. I throw off my shirt and lie down. "This feels like shit," I say to myself. I pull up the blankets and fall asleep.
I see that I'm back at Rainbow. I have no recollection of yesterday. Guess the Corps didn't need me. I look at the clock. 1500 hours. Alright. I get into some clothes and head to the cafeteria. Mira wasn't in the dorm when I got here, so I'm guessing she's in the cafeteria. I walk in and see everyone here. I find Mira and walk over to her. "Hey, Elena," I say, trying to sit next to her. She pushes me away. "What's wrong?" I ask her. She says that I cheated on her and that she hated me. "Wait; what? I would never cheat on anyone I love! Ask Blu!" I tell her. Tachanka shows up and tells me that, while they were on a mission, Blu, Binary, and Delta were all killed. "Ah, shit," I say. I get some food and try to eat it. I throw up after taking a bite. Ash shows up and teases me about me not eating and my friends dying. "Fuck this," I say to myself. I walk up to the podium at the front. "May I have your attention please?" I yell. "For my next trick!: I'm going to fucking kill myself." I say. I draw my pistol that I always keep loaded and blow a round through my head.
A/N: I really need to start writing longer chapters, but this is how I'm going to end this one. See ya next time. Ultra, over and out. I'm also being lazy as fuck and I decided not to post anything for a bit. I need some me-time. Go ahead and speculate what happens next or if I'm just straight-up dead. Best one wins.
