A/N So I don't feel like writing a chapter explaining to everyone that Mira and Jason are expecting a kid, so I'm just going to [King Crimson] time and leap past that.
9 MONTHS LATER, A WEEK UNTIL MIRA'S DUE DATE
Mira is lying on the bed, fast asleep. I look at her and smile. I can't believe that we managed to live through this super hostile environment long enough to fall in love, get married, and have a child together. I give her a soft kiss on the cheek and belly. I silently move off of the bed and put some clothes on. I then quietly move out of our room and get into my truck. I ride down to a flower shop I saw once when Mira and I went to get baby supplies. We're also getting one of the houses that were built for the retired operators or operators that were out of condition. I park the truck and walk towards the store. "Hima's Floral Store. Neat." I say to myself. I walk in and a bell rings. "Welcome! Anything I can help you with today?" A lady wearing something similar to Jotaro's white outfit he wears. "Yea. I need some blue and pink flowers." I say. "Ah, expecting a kid, Jason?" A man with a familiar voice says. He appears from around a corner. "Jotaro! Long-time, man!" I say. We shake hands. "Oh, you know my husband?" The lady says. "Yea. It's a long story." I say. "Dad, who are you talking to?" A girl asks from another room. "An old friend! Come on out and meet him, Jolyne!" Jotaro says. A teenage girl, about 17 or 18, about 5-foot 9 inches, comes out of the room Jotaro did. "You must be Jolyne. I'm Jason." I say and shake her hand. "Jolyne. Are you a Stand user, like we are?" She asks. "Jolyne!" Her mom says. "It's alright. I don't mind questions. Yes, I am. My Stand is Ace of Spades." I say and Ace appears. He gives a wave. "Maybe I should introduce myself then. I'm Hima Kujo, the owner of this shop." Hima says. "Alright, nice to meet you. Now, blue and pink flowers, please." I say. Hima takes me to an area with blue flowers. I pick out half a dozen. She takes me over to an area with pink flowers and I pick another dozen. I also see Mira's favorite flower, so I pick it up. I put the flowers in a vase and put them on the checkout counter. "How much?" I ask. "It's on me. Thanks for helping Jotaro so long ago." Hima says. "Well, thank you kindly, and no problem," I say. I say goodbye to Jotaro and Jolyne and leave the store. I take the flowers back to base and hide them with Delta. He said he's good at keeping flowers alive for a long time. I manage to slip back into bed without Mira's knowledge and cover up my mission.
A WEEK LATER, HEREFORD'S HOSPITAL
"It's a boy!" The doctor says. He does other stuff while Mira and I are calming down. "It's our little Jack." She whispers to me. I smile and giver her a soft kiss. "Can't wait to train him to become our little badass and gentleman," I say. She chuckles a little. The doctor comes back with a small baby wrapped in a blue blanket. "Let's get the birth certificate done. Jason?" The doctor takes me over to a table. "Name of the baby?" He asks. "Jack Stone," I respond. We decided together that the baby would take my last name. Mira has also adopted my last name. The doctor writes down Jack's name. He hands me the certificate afterward. Jack Stone, 5 pounds 8 ounces, born on July 17, 2020. I smile at it and thank the doctor. He tells me to keep that safe. I walk over to Mira, who's holding our son. "Here's his certificate," I say. I show her and read it off. She smiles. The doctor walks over and congratulates us. He also tells us we have a few guests, and if we'd like them in. Mira says ok, and so do I. Harry, Blu, Delta, and Jackal are the operators that walk in. My mom and dad also walk in, as well as some of Mira's family. My parents knew that I got married while here, so I'm super glad to see them here. "Mom! Dad! I didn't think you'd come out!" I say and hug them. "Wouldn't miss seeing my grandson for the world," Mom says. My dad slaps me on the shoulder. "Same for me, buddy." He says. We walk over to Mira and see the baby. I step over to the opposite side of the bed. "Oh, my beautiful grandson. What's his name?" Mira's mom and my mom say at the same time. They chuckle a bit at that. We say his name at the same time. "Jack Stone," We say. Jack giggles a bit. "Well, I'd recommend that y'all leave. He may start crying soon." I say softly and usher them out of the room. Once I close the door, Jack starts crying. "This is gonna be one long-ass ride, but I know it'll be worth it," I say to Mira once we get Jack to stop crying.
