I see that the Rainbow troops are gone, Misty, Marlton, Russman, and Stulinger have no idea what happened. "Russman thinks he and his friends were knocked out cold," Russman says. "Well, shit," I say. I hear some ringing. It gets louder and louder. "Hey, any of you hearing this ringing as well?" Stulinger asks. "Yea. I do." We all say. "H-h-hello? Is Nikolai! I've managed to get a connection for contact! Dempsey, Takeo, and Richtofen are here as well! We know what happened to your comrades, Ultra. You will need to act fast, for they are in great danger. Go! Dempsey, what is terminology? 3 klicks due northwest? Thank you. Go that way! Hurry!" Nikolai says. I've learned to question nothing at this point. It's already bizarre as it is. I grab my weapons and lead the others to a make-shift armory. They grab guns and we go. "Hey, Richtofen? I think this Ultra guy may not be the best leader. He hasn't said hardly anything!" Stulinger says. I have no clue what happens in that guy's head. Apparently, he can talk to Richtofen. He also seems to get a response. "Hey, Marlton! Can you also hear Richtofen?" I ask Marlton. "No, only Stulinger can." Is his response. "Alright, whatever. Anyway, we're making great pace. We've crossed about a klick and a half in 45 minutes. See the trucks?" I ask them. "That has to be where my team is. Let's get them. And no rocket launchers!" I tell them. I almost died once in Pakistan because one of my squadmates decided to shoot an RPG at a truck I was being held in.
We travel the rest of the distance in an hour. I go slower because Russman and Stulinger couldn't keep up. "Yare yare daze, didn't you just run all around a ship, lighthouse and secret facility?" I ask them. Once we arrive, I see how truly large this threat is. Holy fuck. It's an entire factory filled to the brim with Masks. "Oh, shit. This is truly the definition of 'We are fucked.'" I say. "Do not lose hope yet, comrades! I can send reinforcements if needed! I, I mean we, are here to help." Nikolai says. "Thanks, Nik. I think we can handle it though." I say. "Wait, what the fuck? Something ain't right here." I see a mask acting rather suspicious. It's almost sneaking around. Wait, there's 2 of them sneaking. "I'll be damned. Cav and Nøkk. They managed to slip their cuffs and get the hell outta dodge." I say. I toss a metal canteen up into the air. Low enough so it doesn't get spotted, but high enough to get their attention. They look over and see the canteen. They don't get the idea. "Fuck. Uh, Russ! You got anything to throw?" I ask. "Russman ain't got nothin' cept these snowballs he kept from the last trip." He says. "Perfect. Misty and Stu, y'all got any more?" I ask them. "No, but we can make more," Misty says. "No, don't. The masks might hear and or see a disturbance." I tell them. I toss a snowball over blindly. Cav and Nøkk are confused by it. I peek over the bank and see them stop. I pelt the one on the right in the kneecap and the one on the left in the neck. I always threaten to break kneecaps and necks, so hitting them there might have given them the right hint. They seem to get it and move toward the bank.
They arrive and take off the disguises. "Hello. I see that you made it out. Good job. Now, any news on the others?" I ask them. "We do have news, but I don't think you'll like it, Stone," Nøkk says. "Fuck it, tell me," I say. Cav breaks it to me. "They've gone in for interros, and they seem to be raping any of the females not willing to give up any intel, trying to force them to. I have no idea about men though," she says. At that moment, a mask appears behind us. We all point a gun at it. It puts its hands up and takes off its mask. "Chill! It's Jordan!" Thermite says. "Goddamnit, you of all people. How'd you get out?" Cav asks. "Well, I managed to escape from the truck. Then I just applied what I learned from my time with the USMC and snuck over here. I saw the canteen from a little ways away, and knew that it was Ultra." He says. "Do you know what happens to men who don't give intel?" Nøkk asks. "They're shot on the spot. No questions or further pushing. Just a simple 'no' will get you killed." Jordan says. "Alright, I've had enough. I'm going in. Jordan, you're in charge of this squad now. Nøkk, SIC (second-in-command.) If I die, collect my tags, pin my medals upon my chest, box me up, ship me home, bury me in the forests." I tell them. I make sure all my weapons are loaded, say goodbyes, and jump off of the bank and into the shit. "Ultra! Try not to die. We are able to live lives in this world because of you. Finish off these terrorists and we can all live peacefully. But for now, we will remain silent. Call for help by saying the keywords. Good luck, comrade." Nikolai says before the slight ringing in my ears cuts out and everything falls silent. Perfect for my second solo mission.
A/N: So, even shorter chapter, but I just wanted to write something short for you guys and because I didn't want my chapter idea to fade away overnight. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter. Part 4 will be longer, I hope. Ultra, over and out.
