"HOLY SHIT!" I yell as I wake up. I see that my squad is already up. "Sorry guys. Had a shit night. Anyway, who's ready for Stalingrad?" I ask them. They all give me an Ooh-Rah. I get out of bed and do my routine. I dress in full digis and combat armor. I slap a 6 logo on my left sleeve and a patch with my rank on my right. I put a peace sign on my right as well, with Born to Kill written around it. I grab my gear and go to the mess hall. I grab a quick meal. Everyone there stares at me. "Didn't your squad leaders inform you? We're going to Stalingrad today!" I tell them. I go back to the barracks and see my squad is ready. "Alright fellas. It's time. This will be the defining moment of your career. You aren't allowed to die without my permission. I will lead you. I trust that you trust me. My best pal will tell you that I can be trusted. Once we get there, we are under Russian command. You're under my command. If we need to, I'll get us out ASAP. If the shit goes south, I'll get us out. Don't worry. My combat medic training will keep us alive. Let's go!" I say, starting an Ooh-Rah chant. It gets louder and louder. I break it and we rush for the helipads. We are assigned to Plane 7.
"Ultra, here to get my squad boarded for the flight to Stalingrad," I say to the person in charge of planes. "Ultra... Ah, yes. Right this way." He says and guides me to plane 7. I make sure they all get on and nothing's left behind before I get on. I step in and silence them. "Alright, who's ready to kick some terrorist ass!" I say. They all give me an Ooh-Rah. "What's our motto?" I ask them. "Semper Fi, do or die, gung-ho! Gung-ho! Gung-ho!" They respond. It's a 7-hour flight from here to Russia. We'll be based in a small town near Stalingrad. I actually can't wait to go back to Stalingrad.
It's been 5 hours into the flight. I decided to rest on the way here. One of my soldiers dropped a ring. It's not like the one I gave to Mira. It more reminds me of Nøkk. I give it back to the soldier and go back to sleep.
I'm waken up by Chavez. I thank him and keep it in mind. I get up and grab my M1927. I slid my 1911 into its holster and gather my squad's attention. "Alright, we're here. I'll talk to the CO. You follow Chavez. He's my right-hand man." I say and turn to him. "Here's your opportunity. Take it." I tell him. He nods and takes the squad to the USMC Tent. I go to talk to the CO. "Hello, Jason Stone, reporting for the United States Marine Corps. May I ask your name?" I ask in Russian. "I speak English, comrade. I am Nikolai Belinski. Welcome to Russia." He says. "Hold on, Nikolai? Do you remember me?" I ask him. "Jason Stone... Code name?" He asks. I tell him Ultra. That triggers something in his head. He remembers and we chat a bit. I ask him if he's seen Richtofen, Dempsey or Takeo. He says no, but he hopes they got what they wanted. I tell him I have to go. He bids me farewell and tells me to go to the Rainbow tent. I thank him and go over. Well, they needed the Rainbow troops to go to their old CTU's and rally up some troops. Alright. I step in and am immediately attacked by Mira. She jumps on me and hugs and kisses me. "I missed you too," I tell her. I greet the rest of the Rainbow troops. Harry asks why I was a little late. "The Marines are mostly back up for the Navy. We hardly get called first." I explain. He nods. "Alright, now that we're all back together, let's go over the mission. The Masks want to take Stalingrad for a new base. If we kill them all right here and now, they won't have enough forces to continue operation. So, who's ready for a war?" He says. "OOH-RAH! SEMPER FI! DO OR DIE! GUNG-HO! GUNG-HO! GUNG-HO!" Delta, Warden and I say. Everyone laughs. We're dismissed to our tents. Mira and I kiss each other goodbye. So do Jordan and Yumiko. And... Tiana and Blu? Ok then. And Monika and Binary? "Something's bizarre," I say to myself. I walk to the USMC Tent. I see that they're organized by squad. I take my position at the head of my squad. I see there's a squad inspection. Colonel Rhodes is the inspecting officer. I stand at attention when she appears at my 12. I salute her. "Good evening ma'am. Lieutenant Colonel Stone and Squad prepared for inspection." I say. She checks my uniform and my squad alinement. "Alright. Good job on this part, Stone. Now drill." She says. "Left, face!" I command. We all turn left. "Forward, march!" I command. We march forward, backward, flanks, obliques, you name it, we marched it. "Good job Stone. Your squad is the best I've inspected." She says. "Thank you, ma'am," I tell her. We fall back in line with the other squads. "Platoon, fall out." She commands. We take a step back. "Aye aye, Colonel Rhodes!" We say in unison and fall out. My squad goes to their cots. I tell Rhodes that I have to stay in the Rainbow tent. She gives me clearance. I head back to the Rainbow tent. All of the other operators join me. Warden and I chat a little bit. He says he saw my squad drill. "That was damn fine." He complements me. "Thank you kindly, sir. Your squad looked clean while being inspected." I tell him. We hear Harry call for us to hit the cots. I take my spot next to Mira. Nøkk took the cot to my right, Mira on my left. Guess the one on my right was the last one available. Oh well. For now, Mira and I know the importance of sleep before war. I'm out in a few minutes, ready for the great War of Stalingrad.
A/N: Here's the chapter I promised this week. I'll also try to aim for a chapter a week. I have a week off of school next week, and if I'm not busy with Siege and Black Ops 3 and 4 I'll write. Have a good one. Ultra, over and out. I also know that I spelt Cav's name wrong, and I don't give a shit.
