The corridors were filled with animated chatter as a certain blonde pushed his way past the sweaty, hormonal teens with folders and books in his arms whilst muttering 'excuse me' and 'sorry's.
"Oh my god do you even have eyes?" Jaemin yelled to a random guy who accidentally rushed past him. He knew it wasn't the boy's fault but he was too overwhelmed right now. The reason he snapped back to reality was because of the few gasps from around him to actually pay attention to what was going on.
The blonde's boys eyes snapped fully open and saw a boy with fluffy brown hair standing partially in front of him, a few folders dropped out of his arms. The people around the two were slightly taken aback by Jaemin's behaviour but all Renjun did was simply bend down and grab his discarded items before pushing past the blonde gently.
"Did he really just leave? I thought he usually shouts at everyone?"
"Yeah but honestly, I've never actually seen it happen?"
"He's probably just bullying them privately."
"Who though? I don't think I've ever seen the boy hurt anybody."
Jaemin struggled past all the whispers, refusing to listen to them. In his mind, it made no sense. Renjun himself had made this whole stature of his reputation but had no signs of it whatsoever apart from the occasional flirts and remarks which could be natural to anybody in this case.
"Hey!"
Once Jaemin had passed through the students and reached a basically empty corridor, he heard a call.
"You waited for me?"
The blonde shuffled to the side and saw Renjun standing in the middle of the corridor, a smile on his face.
"Of course I did."
He heard the other voice and found Jeno walking near to Renjun, grinning. Since when did Jeno look so attractive though? His hair was falling infront of his face, the top buttons of his shirt slightly undone. The blonde continued to watch the interaction.
"Thank you, Jeno."
Renjun smiled wider, making Jaemin's heart flutter a bit, and the chinese closed the distance between the two, enveloping the younger in a hug. Jeno looked shocked at first, but melted into the touch and wrapped his arms around the boy too. Jaemin couldn't find himself to take his eyes away at the interaction. Instead, he accidentally let go of his grip on the lockers that he was hiding behind, and tripped over, crashing to the ground.
Renjun gently pushed Jeno to the side and quickly spun around on his heel, eyes wide at the boy who fell. Immediately, the chinese ran over to his side and squatted down to his level.
Jeno, however, felt a pang of jealousy in his chest, but tried to cool it down as the older was just being kind and helpful, which he adored about him.
"Jeno, I'll meet you in class, okay? Please tell miss I might be a bit late though," Renjun called as Jeno nodded, smiling as he faced the direction of his next class."Wait!"
The korean backtracked to the boy next to the fallen one, and ran back. "Yeah?"
Renjun pulled Jeno down by the collar of his shirt and pecked his nose, grinning. "Thank you."
This left Jeno blushing furiously as his heart rammed out of his chest nonstop as he made his way to the class.
"Jaremin? Are you okay?"
Renjun caressed the blonde's cheek, seeing a small scratch on it running from the side of his nose to his mouth, a small amount of blood running; it wasn't serious, luckily.
Jaemin fluttered his eyes open and saw a handsome brunette at his side, a worried look plastered onto his face. This confused the boy even in this state. Since when did Renjun care about anyone other than himself or Chenle? Despite this, Renjun pulled out a pack of tissues from his bag, and took one out.
"Stay still, Jaemin," the older murmured, leaning closer to his face, warm breath shadowing the younger's as he dabbed the tissue against his forehead, lightly blowing to into lessen the pain. Jaemin winced a bit, making Renjun freeze.
"I'm sorry- Did I hurt you?" He asked, taking the tissue away, backing up slightly. Jaemin sat up and shook his head, touching his forehead lightly whilst edging closer to the chinese.
"It still hurts."
Actually, it didn't hurt at all. Jaemin was an over exaggeration drama queen and wanted the chinese's attention for a reason he himself did not know but wanted to find out. At this, Renjun smiled, satisfied, and shuffled over to Jaemin again, blowing on the tissue and repeating the process. The younger exhaled contently, enjoying the attention from Renjun.
"I think it's done, Jaemin," The older smiled, standing up as he pulled the younger with him.
"Wait, Renjun," Jaemin called, tugging on the chinese's hand which pulled him closer. "Look."
The blonde turned his leg to the side, pulling his cargo shorts up very slightly to expose a bruise just above his knee joint. "It hurts," he pouts, rubbing the spot.
Renjun sighs, bringing his arms under the latter, scooping him up bridal style as he took him to the nurse's office. Jaemin, on the outside, displayed no emotion apart from exaggerated pain, but on the inside, his heart felt like it was hammering in his chest.
The annoying thing was, he didn't know why.
