Shadow's P.O.V.
I froze as soon as he said that. I felt my face heat up very slightly. He laughed when he saw this and shook his head.

"I'm just messing with you, Shadz. I had never seen you blush before, makes me think you actually like me~" He smirked and leaned closer.

I lowered my ears very lightly in slight disappointment when he said he was joking then growled lowly.
I smirked and shook my head.

"Don't mess with me Hedgehog." I growled.

"And why not~?" I quickly pinned him to a tree.

"Because I think I like you~" I growled loudly, it wasn't true. Or was it? I don't know how that feels like.

Sonic blushed and gasped then dropped his ears. "W-what...?" He tried to move. "Let go."

"You shouldn't be so carefree around me. Have you forgotten? Im your rival." I smirked and leaned closer to his face. I could feel him breathing and his heart beating rapidly.

Without realizing, this wasnt just messing around anymore. I was slowly leaning in. I wasnt teasing him any longer.

What am I doing?!

I started freaking out but I couldn't stop myself, not when my lips brushed his lightly, he tensed up at feeling that but slowly and surely calmed down and relaxed as our lips finally touched.

I kissed him... I kissed Sonic the Hedgehog and he kissed me back...

Sonic's P.O.V.
Shadow was kissing me! My crush was kissing me!

He slowly pulled away and I could tell we were both madly blushing. He dropped his ears for a split second then took a step back realizing what he had just done.

I had my ears dropped as well and I was blushing to the tip of my ears. He covered his mouth still not believing he'd just kissed me and did not break eye contact with me. He quickly chaos controlled away.

I rested back on the tree, completely forgetting what I was doing before. When I finally calmed down, I walked to the tents again and went to sleep.

"Wake up, Blue. I need to check your wounds." I woke up to Rouge lightly shaking me awake.

I groaned and let her give me a check up. My mind was still on yesterday's kiss.

"I guess we wont be leaving today either. You're still pretty hurt." Rouge sighed and I shook my head.

"I can handle it Rouge. We can continue." I said and she shook her head in response. "I'm fine. Let's go." I stood up and started gathering my stuff inside the tent.

"No, I'll go refill the waters at a nearby river. You can stay here and get some rest. You and Shadow stayed up so late, he's still not awake. Give him something to eat when he wakes up. I'll be back by night time." She flew away.

I sighed and stayed in the tent for a bit. I got out after a couple of minutes and saw Shadow sleeping peacefully under a tree. I tried not to blush and immediately looked away since I wasnt able to stop thinking about the kiss. I turned off the fire after I heat up something to eat. I put it in a paper plate we'd brought and started eating as I waited for Shadow to wake up.

It passed about an hour and I was about to walk away and explore when Shadow groaned and stretched in his sleep. I very lightly blushed again and calmed down then looked at him and walked to him with a plate of food.

"Good morning..." I tried to act as if nothing had happened the previous day. "Rouge said she'll be back tonight since the river is pretty far. She told me to give you something to eat." I gave him the plate when he sat up. He was still half asleep.

Thankfully he was.
