Sonic's P.O.V.
"Don't you even da-AH!" I yelled loudly in pain when the guard gave me that shot again.

"Orders from your mother, Sir. As long as you are here and keep trying to leave, we have to give you the shot." The guard said and then left.

"Come on, Maurice. You need to stop complaining and just do what your mother tells you to do." My body guard said. "You're getting married today, try to look a bit more happy."

"I dont want to get married to that chipmunk." I mumbled and sat down since my legs hurt. The shot would prevent me from running. I had to use crutches since it was affecting my legs as well.

"I know you dont but you cant just say no to your mother." The body guard said, he's been working for us for years. His name is Zeth, one of the few guards I actually get along with. "Come on, Sonic. You know if there was a way out, I would help you." He sighed.

"I know." I laid down on the bed and shook my head. "Just leave me alone." And with that, he left.

Shadow's P.O.V.
"Hun, what are you doing here...?" Rouge asked me as I walked past her to get inside the castle. All of Sonic's friends were invited since theres was apparently an announcement they needed for us to hear before the wedding.

"Take a seat, please. They will be here shortly." One of the guards told us to take a seat, Rouge sat beside me.

After a few minutes of me ignoring Rouge, we heard a whistle. It was a tall male redish fox. He was wearing the suit the guards wore and carried a rifle with him.

"We ask for your silence while Princess Sally and Prince Maurice give their announcement." The fox said then nodded and the ones behind him.

Soon, we saw how Sonic walked with the help of some crutches and the fox's help to walk to where we could see him. Princess Sally, standing right beside him.

"Hello, as all of you have heard, today is our wedding. We wanted to make something clear before the ceremony started." The princess said making me want to growl. "Maurice." She nodded at him for him to continue.

He looked as if he was numb, no expression whatsoever. As if he was lifeless.

"Today will be the last day I ever go to the city to help all of you. After today, my job is to stay in the castle and..." He spotted me and stopped for a second. "My job is to stay in the castle, this will be the last day all of you will see Sonic the Hedgehog." He said now sternly then turned around and began limping as he walked away with the crutches on.

"All of you are welcomed to stay for the wedding." Sally said then left.

"Why was he wearing crutches...?" I mumbled and before Rouge could say anything, I chaos controlled away, I followed Sonic until he walked into his room, making sure I wouldn't be seen by anyone.

The guard stayed outside and I chaos controlled inside his room and covered Sonics mouth immediately so he wouldn't yell.

"Mh!" I turned him around and he pinned his ears down then tried to push me away.

"Calm down, Sonic. I'm not here to hurt you. I want to apologize." I sighed. "Don't yell. Please don't yell." I slowly removed my hand awsy and he quickly slapped me harshly across the face.

I hissed and rubbed my cheek. "What do you want?" He growled lowly.

"I already said... I want to apologize." He was about to start talking but I cut him off. "I love you." I quickly said making him drop his ears. "I didn't know that before... I didn't know what I was feeling, I just knew that I needed you. To be fair, I had never thought about feelings... I never knew how love felt, how being happy felt... Not until the mission... Our mission was supposed to turn you in, betray your trust... And turn you in to the castle so you could get married..." I sighed.

"Sha-" I cut him off again.

"I'm sorry... I realized too late what I felt for you... Im sorry that I betrayed you... That you think I used you... That I did all of that... Im sorry for our past fights..." I wasnt looking at him. I couldn't.

There was a knock on the door.

"Are you ready, sir? The ceremony is about to start." The fox was heard.

"In a bit, Zeth!" Sonic shouted.

"I want you. I want you in my life Sonic..." I said lowly so the fox couldn't hear me. "I can get you out of here... Take you away, hide... Stay with me, Sonic..." I said to him and grabbed his hand. "Please..."

"Sir, the Queen is coming!" Zeth called out again.

"I need an answer now..."

Sonic looked at me then he glanced at the door. He looked down at his legs and then back at me and very slowly shook his head.
