Embry p.o.v

When I truned my attention back to Leah she was gone from where she was last standing.But I knew she was nearby,my wolf could still sense her.She was now in the kitchen talking to the older ladies.I walked over to the bushes so that I could get a better look of her through the kitchen window.Quil mouthed the word stalker to me.I just rolled my eyes and looked at his mate.At this Quil lips pressed into a hard line and glared at me.I knew it was a cheap shot but atleast it got him off my back.

Leah was situated between her mom and my mom.I smiled at this.Good to know she was already close to her future mother in law.I know that I probably sounded like a 14 year old teenager but I don't know I just felt like it today.It was weird ,I have never felt like this before.But seening Leah today I just knew I had to have her.Ineeded to make her mine.

Leah p.o.v

When I entered the kitchen my mother shot me a concerned glace.It was because of my past with Sam.It had been years now and I was over it.But it did leave me with a scar in my heart.I smiled at her telling her that I was ok.I situated my self between my mother and Embry's mother.She smiled at me.I had always felt comfortable near her.She treated me like I was her own child.

"So your mother tells  me that you got yourself a new boyfriend.When are we going to meet the lucky guy,"Mrs.Heather said as soon as I was seated .I didn't like her ,she was always a nosy one and what was this ' got  urself a boyfriend' as if they sold them at a shop,off season discount."We broke up".I said.It was true.And it was never anything serious, the only reason I was in a relationship was to get my mother off my back.Looking at her now,her face had fallen at my answer."Oh honey its ok.You must be so busy with your job anyway.You should concentrate on your carrer first, men can come later" ,Embry's mother tried to rescue me."Actually I quit my job day before yesterday"I said.

I had nearly gone and ripped out the head of  the so called boyfriend that Mrs.Heather asked Leah about.Why was I feeling so possessive again?Anyone's guess is as good as mine.

I didnt obviously know who he was or where he lived.But i could find out.Maybe have a nice little chat and break a few bones.........then Leah said "we broke up" a wave of relief washed over me.I let out my breath which I didn't know i was holding.Seriously what was happening to me today?I mean I know I had feelings for Leah in the past.But they were of  just a simple puppy dog crush.I had not felt such feeling towards her when I left for college 3 years ago.But seeing her today,I just knew I was in love with her.It was not just a simple crush or lust towards her.It was love.All this realization was making  my head go dizzy.

"Oh honey its ok.You must be so busy with your job anyway....."My mother said,it looked like she was trying to change the subject. Go mom."Actually I quit my job day before yesterday" Leah said.She now had a small little smile,like she was enjoyning herself,like she had a little secret of her own.

Well i could't blame her.Seeing as much money she had made from investing in the stock market in the last few years,I wouldn't work a day if i had so much money.I ofcourse knew this because of the mind link to the  pack has.No one else other than the pack knew, as her mother hated these kind of investments,she called them proffesional gambling.I ofcourse was very proud of her.

Leah p.o.v

"What!Why?!" ,my mom shrieked.It looked like she was going to have a heart attack.I wouldn't blame her.To her it would look like her 26 year old daughter was single as well as jobless at the moment.Ofcourse she didn't know about my succsesful business investments."Jeez mom dont give urself a heart attack ,just yet.I just quit my job because I had been there for over a year, and there of no sing of me progressing there. So i quit.Relax mom I have already found a job for my self in D.C. You  know I am not that stupid as to quit my job without any back up plan."

Mom seemed to relax at this but was yet giving me the death glare because I had not told this to her earlier and had embarrassed her in front of everyone.I wonder how she would react when I would tell her that I was not really starting a new job but opening a business that, involved so much of the professional gambling she loathed."Oh thats great honey"Mrs.Heather said with a tinge of regret.Regret because she would now have to find another way of putting my mother down.Seriously get a life crazy woman.

I  hmmed a response.The ladies went back a exchanging recipes and gossip.I got up and decided to go join Jesse and the rest of the girls in the garden.It was a beautiful summer day,sunny with the right amount of sunshine.And Jesse's garden looked beautiful with colourful flowers bloosming all around,quite talented that girl was.As I was dessending the steps leading to the garden,I saw Embry standing in the corner.

He was wearing cream coloured cotton shotrs with black t-shirt and sneakers.He was quite tall actually,reaching for seven's.and the shirt he was wearing was loose But you could still kind of see the abs there.....what was I doing checking out the cheeky bastard who was oogling me ealier,well he was still oogling me now and was now grinning like a child who was caught eating candy and had no intention of stoping.Well time to get his eyes out of their sockets.
