Kaden

I was late again. But I didn't fully care at this point. Being late was becoming a normal thing. School wasn't exactly on the top of my list of important things.

I locked my car and pulled my back pack over my right shoulder, just wishing that I didn't have to be here.

Movement across the parking lot drew my attention and I glanced over curiously.

A girl with long, light brown hair was standing in front of Silver's car with a red can in her hand.

Curiosity got the better of me and I leaned against my car, crossing my arms as I watched her.

She moved around to the side of the car and began spraying what looked like shaving cream all over the windshield. I recognized her almost immediately. Alyssa Crane. A bubbly, yet firey girl that didn't seem to have a care in the world. She seemed too much to be around, for my taste.

When she finished her lovely creation on Silver's car, I could read what she put on his hood. It was almost enough to make me laugh. Key word, almost.

Alyssa then proudly walked away and I watched her disappear into the school. Well she chose who to prank wisely, I'd give her that.

With a sigh, I pushed off my car and walked into the school, dreading the day.

The teacher in my first class, Mr. Right, didn't bother saying anything to me, which I wasn't complaining about. The two girls at the front of the classroom let their eyes wander all over me, which I didn't appreciate.

A lot of girls stared at me, and my best friend Mike always let me know that it was because I was 'such a hunk.' Sometimes I wondered why I bothered keeping him around.

I merely ignored everyone around me. If people didn't get in my way, I wouldn't get in theirs. It was just that simple.

I wasn't one to get close to anyone, Mike being an exception. People bothered me too much.

"Kaden Wolfe. You're late." Mr. Right growled like he just noticed me as I sat at the back.

I didn't respond. I just sat and gave a cold stare in return.

"If you're late one more time, it will be after school detention for you. I will not tolerate it."

I waited silently for him to finish. I'd heard this before.

The old man rolled his eyes at my silence and then continued his lecture.

I wasn't one to pretend to be nice to other people. I purposely made myself cold and distant. It was better than getting close with anyone. That way I would avoid the same thing that seemed to always happen to me.

Being close to anyone just didn't work for me, and it never would.

And here is Kaden. These two main characters are very different obviously. This was quite short, but the story has only just begun (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
