Alyssa

Thursday morning, I attacked Myla from behind, making her scream in surprise.

I laughed as I stepped back.

"Alyssa, you little monkey." Myla huffed, but she laughed shortly after. "Why are you so excited?"

I did a little dance. "I won the bet. So, where are you taking me for dinner?"

"Stop bouncing. What? Kaden actually agreed to train you? Why didn't you tell me?"

"You were in Michigan, and I wanted to tell you in person. So I could do this." I danced again.

Myla rolled her eyes. "Where do you want to go tonight? I'm buying, you choose."

I stopped. "Wait, tonight? I thought Fridays were our nights."

Myla's face blushed red, which was rare for her. "Well, uh, Mike. Mike called me while I was in Michigan. We're going... on a date tomorrow."

My smile was wide enough to make the Joker happy. "Oh my apple tarts!" I crushed her in a hug. "Yay, yay, yay!"

"You're turning my bones to dust." Myla choked out.

I jumped back. "Sorry. Ah! It's so cute. You and Mike are cute."

She giggled. "Shut up. I don't even know how he got my number."

I wiggled my eyebrows. "I might have exchanged your number for Kaden's number."

Myla's mouth dropped. "You got his number? Girl, I missed a lot while I was gone."

"And I missed you tons."

Her face dropped into worry as she looked at my lips. "Oh my gosh, what happened?"

I lightly touched my split lip. It was still a bit tender. "Brandon. He- he attacked me."

Fury filled Myla's eyes. "If I was a big guy like Mike I would go beat him up right now. Was he punished?"

I shook my head. "Rosen didn't believe us. He needed solid evidence, or whatever."

"We?" She asked, confused.

"Oh, uh, Kaden saved me. He helped me out and stuff. It's also why he agreed to teach me how to fight. Last night was the first training session."

"I really did miss everything. What else, you bought a mansion and have a long lost twin?"

I chuckled. "No, you're all caught up now. No more big reveals. Although I do want to talk to you about something. Not here, but tonight at dinner, or your house."

"I want you to spill now, but I'll wait. Delicious dinner coming right up, Miss Crane." Myla bowed dramatically.

I laughed. "Sometimes I worry about our sanity."

She shrugged with a smile. "I'm sure we've already lost our minds. Senior year, babe. We're ruined just in time to jump into life."

The bell rang and Myla grabbed her bag. "I'm off to class. I'll see you tonight, okay? I have a dentist appointment during lunch."
