Alyssa
I stood in front of my car with Jerry's keys jangling in my hands from my shivering. It was cold tonight and Kaden was being a grandmother again.
Tonight was the first night of training. I was nervous. And super excited at the same time. I could finally be super cool and be able to punch people. But, I would be training with Kaden Wolfe.
He was nice to me, I wasn't scared of him. Not in that way, anyway. Ever since he saved me from Brandon that first time, he had this... effect on me. When his ice blue eyes were on me, my lungs seemed to lose function. When he so much as touched me with a finger, my heart would shoot to the heavens and never come back.
And here I was about to spend several hours with him. Alone. I was almost certain that I would not survive this first session.
At long last, his black car pulled up to next to my white one.
I glared at him as he climbed out. "Eight o'clock, huh? Do you have a watch, buddy? It's half past eight!"
"Sorry, Shorty. I was... held up." He snatched the keys from my hands. "Come on then."
I followed after him with a huff. He unlocked the outside doors of the wrestling gym and motioned for me to go first. I stepped into the dark room, wrinkling my nose at the slight smell of sweat.
The door swung closed and we were plunged into darkness.
"This isn't spooky at all." I muttered.
The lights flickered on and I looked around at the blue, squishy padding of the floor, the weights stacked in the corner, and the padding on the walls.
"Ten bucks says there is a ghost watching us right now."
Kaden shook his head. "You're so weird, Shorty." He tossed off his leather jacket and I quickly looked away from the tight grey t-shirt he was wearing.
Why was my mind trying to be a pervert?
"Did you bring clothes to change into?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at my outfit.
I looked down at my skinny jeans and light grey sweater. "What's wrong with this? You're wearing jeans too."
He wordlessly held up a black duffle bag.
"Oh." I whispered.
Kaden shook his head with a small smile. "You can't train well in those clothes. I'm sure there are some clothes in the girls locker room."
"Gross. I don't want to put on some girl's sweaty clothes."
"It's for one night, Shorty. And you can shower right after." He backed toward the boys locker room. "Go on. We start in five minutes, okay?"
"But-" he was already gone. I growled in annoyance and moved into the girls locker room. Most of the lockers were locked, and I was ready to give up.
Then I finally found a flimsy white tank top and extremely short grey pajama shorts.
I changed into the clothes and gasped as I saw myself in the mirror. I couldn't wear this! The shorts were way too short, and the tank top... I gagged. "Oh, it's hideous, oh my gosh I look like a slut!" I looked even more ridiculous with my fuzzy blue knee high socks on.
