Yunlan woke up earlier than usual, he had promised Mei that he would drive her today.
She had made him feel bad until he had agreed.
Not that he didn't want to, but early mornings weren't really his thing.
When he got to her house, she was ready and waiting for him. She looked full of energy and he wondered if he ever was that way when he was younger, but thinking back at his high-school days - since he didn't go to university - he could only remember being grumpy and sleepy in the mornings.
He dropped her off but instead of driving away immediately, he thought he really needed something to wake him up good, so he parked the car and went to the nearby cafè.
He saw some kids going out in a hurry, then he spotted what looked like Mei's teacher, the one he saw the day before.
The man was near the counter and there was a long queue behind him.
Yunlan smirked and thought it was a way to cut the wait shorter, so he walked in front of the people waiting in line to stop next to the professor.
"Good morning. You're Mei's teacher right?"
The man looked at him then he seemed to remember. He held out his hand introducing himself. "Shen Wei, nice to meet you."
Yunlan couldn't hold back a yawn while he introduced himself in return.
"Zhao *yawn* Yunlan, but please call me Yunlan. Sorry about that, I haven't had my morning coffee yet, I'm not really awake."
Wei thought that he heard wrong, after all the man had been yawning, it was easy to confuse Zhao with Zhang.
"I don't have lessons until the next hour, let me buy you that coffee and we can talk about Mei."
Yunlan smirked, his plan had worked. He ignored the angry stares directed at him while he took his coffee and went to get a seat.
"I hear these days girls like poetry a lot. That's what you teach right?"
Shen Wei sat in front of him and started talking about his subject, what a good student Mei was, and how unfortunate that there weren't more like her.
Talking about what he knew best kept Wei's mind away from how handsome the man in front of him was.
Yunlan finished his coffee and started to feel good again. He thanked Shen Wei and excused himself but he really had to go to work.
The rest of the day, he thought that Mei was indeed right, that teacher was very beautiful.

"WeiLinnnn u got potions to spare?"
"No, but I can make some for you."
"Ur my fav ever."
Wei once again cringed at the use of 'ur' instead of 'you're' but said nothing. Gosh, kids these days...
"Can I tell u a secret?" LanLan wrote.
Wei smiled, they didn't even know each other, it's not like he could tell anyone, but he didn't argue with her and simply replied, "You can tell me anything."
"I met someone today."
Wei paused, alarmed. Should he let her go on? He wasn't the right person for love advice, but then again, she probably just wanted to talk to a friend.
Wei smiled, he never had this kind of conversations before.
"Someone special?"On the other hand, Yunlan felt free to chat about it, covered by his female character he could say 'he' so freely and so easily!
