Chapter 9

Wei stared at himself in the mirror, to give himself a silent speech.

He knew something would happen since he couldn’t even look at Yunlan now without thinking of having sex with him, but now he had to find his breath again and regain his composure, to keep his thoughts in check until he made sure that Yunlan felt the same way.

And he will, he told his reflection in the mirror, he will, I will make sure that he falls for me.

He opened the bag he always carried with him and took the change of underwear he had put inside before, then he put the stained ones in a paper bag before hiding it inside.

He then waited in the living room for Yunlan to use the bathroom and then heat some food for them to eat.

"I prepared everything already, I just need to heat it up a bit," Yunlan said and Wei smiled, but inwardly he snorted at the lie.

He thought of what he could do to make Yunlan fall for him completely. The obvious answer would be, if he only knew that the professor and WeiLin were the same person, things probably would change for him as they had changed for Shen Wei, but he refused to do that.

First, it was a scary thing to do, what if something went wrong and he lost both lover and best friend?

Second, this one was a temptation he simply could not resist; he had thought about it, wondering if one day Yunlan would accuse him of being dishonest, but he couldn’t give up on the rare opportunity in front of him. How many people in the world can know for sure what their lovers think of them??

When Yunlan came back he had changed into another shirt, and was carrying two plates of steamy food.

They sat down in front of each other and ate in silence for a while. Wei complimented him for the delicious food and Yunlan thanked him lowering his eyes.

They drank water because Wei didn’t drink and he wouldn’t let Yunlan drink since he had to drive him back later.

It was a meal full of stolen glances, occasional smiles and comfortable silence, while they enjoyed each other’s company. 

After they finished eating, Yunlan went to wash the dishes - he usually did that when he ran out of clean ones, but he wanted to look tidy and mature in front of Shen Wei - and of course Wei insisted until he was allowed to help.

The procedure took longer than it should have because both their movements were very slow, as if both wanted to prolong their time together.

After that was done, Yunlan asked him if he cared for a cup of coffee or tea, and Wei accepted the tea.

Yunlan considered watching a movie together, but it sounded too childish so he said nothing.

It was time to drive him back. When he stopped the car Wei murmured “see you tomorrow” before getting out and walking away.

Yunlan smiled and drove back home.

The cat DaQing was quite happy to see him home early and immediately demanded some food. Wei complied then tried to relax on the sofa.

It was earlier than usual, would Yunlan go online already or wait for their usual time? He wasn’t sure, so he waited for what would be WeiLin's usual hour before turning the game on. He wasn’t much interested in the game right now, only in talking to ‘LanLan’.

WeiLin greeted him as usual and Yunlan felt excited, he needed someone to talk to so badly, he was grateful for having WeiLin as his friend.
