Yunlan didn’t go to the cafè the next day. He wanted to be prepared next time he met the professor.

He went straight to work and at lunch break, instead of eating something or playing the game, he went to the library.

He needed to find it first though, not really sure where it was but quite positive that there was a library somewhere.

Once that was done, he finally entered and stood shocked by the amount of books in there. How in hell was he supposed to find the right one?

A woman approached him offering her assistance, probably after one look at his lost expression, and asked him what subject was he interested in.

Good question. The only thing he could think of was, "Poetry."

She lead him to the dedicated section of the library, saying that he could read whatever he liked and to call her if he wanted to take a book home.

Yunlan took a look around, some of those books were so big it was scary! Then he saw a smaller one, titled The best of ancient poetry and he smiled. That was more like it!

He opened it and the first one he saw was titled Thoughts in the silent night.

It was the one WeiLin had wrote to him! He didn't need to look any further, and went to find the lady again.

As soon as he finished work he went straight home, grabbed a beer and logged in the game. WeiLin was not on yet.

He so wanted to tell her about the book! He had kept it hidden all day, so that people would not see it; he hated that expression on people’s faces when they look at you not believing what you say or judge you for it.

He could still remember the days when he didn’t have a cellphone and people would not believe him when he told them, or the only time he admitted to anyone that he had liked a love movie because it was a funny comedy - and it was! plus the actor was very cute, but he had left that part out.

Yunlan could clearly see that his friend wanted to laugh but didn’t to be polite.

Yunlan smiled now, thinking that with  WeiLin it was different and he could talk about anything with her.

As soon as WeiLin logged in, he wrote to her.
"I borrowed a book today!"

"I'm glad, have you read it yet?"

"It’s difficult...😣"

"Maybe you can discuss it with your special person," Wei suggested encouragingly, hoping she wouldn't lose interest or faith in herself.

That was a good idea, Yunlan thought. He will bring the book and they would have something to talk about...

He chatted some more with WeiLin then he went to sleep, setting his alarm clock.

He arrived at the cafè earlier this time, hoping to get there before the professor arrived.

He looked around but didn’t see him, so he paid for his coffee and sat at a table with his book in plain view. After a few seconds, he felt awkward waiting like that, so he opened the book and started reading it. He became so focused that he didn't even notice when Wei entered until he approached him.

"Do you like poetry too?"

Yunlan almost jumped on his seat then looked for something to say.

"Mei talks about it so much, I thought I’d see what the fuss was about," he lied.
