Yunlan started going to the cafè near the university every day to meet the beautiful professor.
To be honest, he wasn’t really getting this poetry-thing, but he really enjoyed staring at him while he talked about it.
His days were now quite full, the mornings with the professor, the days at work, the evenings with WeiLin, to talk about their lives, their feelings, their past and basically whatever came to mind.
He was enjoying it all.
Remembering WeiLin’s words, Yunlan today wanted to show a little encouragement, to see how the professor would react, so he touched his hand.
He tried to make it look casual, of course, but the touch was there, and Shen Wei’s skin was so soft and delicate, he liked that, he liked that a lot.
Shen Wei was feeling basically the same way, he found him more and more attractive each passing day, and this morning Yunlan had grabbed his hand.
He had the rough skin of someone who works with his hands, and Wei found that incredibly sexy, and would have liked to feel those hands on himself... gosh, if only he wasn’t married.

Yunlan drove to the cafè with a look of determination on his face. He wanted to see more of him, a coffee a day was not enough time, and he still didn’t know anything personal about him.
They drank their coffee then Yunlan went for it.
"Would you have lunch with me today?"
Wei was startled, was Yunlan asking him out?
The next second he scolded himself, it was just a lunch, men ate together as friends all the time.
Wei thanked him, told him at what time he ended explaining that it was really too late to lunch at a restaurant, but Yunlan didn’t seem troubled at all. He hurried to tell him that he’d pick him up later then left for work.
Wei didn’t know what to think.
Yunlan welcomed his lunch break with enthusiasm, he drove to his favourite restaurant (nothing fancy but excellent food) and bought takeaway for two, then he went home to change - getting the opportunity to put away his dirty clothes scattered around - before he went to pick up his professor.
Wei was waiting outside, not really sure of what he was doing, but when he saw Yunlan he greeted him like always and asked him where could they go at such an hour.
“I know a place that’s always open,” Yunlan said chuckling; they both got in the car and Yunlan drove home. After he parked, Wei looked around, not yet understanding what was going on.
There was no restaurant that he could see...
Yunlan lead him into a building saying: "There is no sign outside, not everyone can get in." Yunlan winked and Wei followed him puzzled, but he understood when he saw him opening the door with the key he had in his pocket.
Yunlan opened the door. Wei stood still and asked him, "Is this your home?"
Looking at him standing there, Yunlan got closer and pressed his lips on his, then took a step back waiting to see if the man would punch him in the face or not.
Wei stood frozen, his heart thundering in his chest, and unconsciously licked his bottom lip.
That was better than a punch, so Yunlan tried again. "We could eat something and get to know each other?"
Wei took a step in and looked around, it was a small apartment, it didn’t look like a family could fit in there.
"Do you live alone?" he asked.Yunlan nodded then gestured towards the living room. Wei left the door open and followed him uncertainly. He sat down and waited. Yunlan went into the kitchen, heated everything in the microwave and put it all into the only available clean dishes and brought it to the other room.
He sat down and they both started eating. It was good and Wei asked, "Did you make it yourself?"
Yunlan knew he shouldn’t, but he wanted to look good so he said: "Yes."
Wei noticed the computer Yunlan had left there before changing and asked him if he used it a lot. Yunlan suddenly felt too embarrassed to tell him that he used it mainly for playing, so he laughed awkwardly and told him that he used it rarely and only for work, then he got up to take it away worried that Wei might open it and see the game icon that was in plain view.
They ate mostly in silence, exchanging only a few comments on the food, before Wei got up saying that he had to go back because he had another lesson in the afternoon.
Yunlan immediately offered to drive him back, of course, and Wei thanked him.
Yunlan was in a moderately good mood, but Wei was confused. The rest of the day he kept thinking about it; the guy was really sexy and in other circumstances, if Yunlan wasn't married, he would have liked to lock him in his bedroom and ravish him, but had restrained himself because he thought he was married. After seeing his apartment, not to mention that kiss, he wondered, maybe Yunlan was divorced? He thought of asking Mei, but then decided against it, it would be too risky, and wondered if he could ask LanLan’s advice instead.
~~~~~
That night, both men sat down in front of the computer with their hearts full of the day’s events. Wei wasn’t used to talking about this kind of things, but LanLan seemed to feel differently, because a message appeared immediately.
“I kissed him today.”
Wei was taken aback by the fact that he had almost written: ‘he kissed me today’...
He decided to leave his own things for later, and to grant her his full attention first.
“How did it go?”
“I invited him home and kissed him.”
Wei thought that it was more or less what had happened to him, with the little detail that Yunlan hadn’t exactly ‘invited him home’, it had been more like a trap...
Wei wondered if writing “what happened next?” might be too indiscreet, when another message appeared.
“We ate together and he said it was good 😁”
Wei thought that she had probably tried to win him over through his stomach and asked, “Did you cook for him?”
There was a pause, then: “Actually no... but I told him I did...”
“Why did you do that?”
Another pause before: “I wanted to look good in front of him...”
Wei considered the best way to tell her that she should be honest without risking offending her, when another message appeared.
"He’s so smart, I know I’m not good enough."
Wei was torn between complimenting her for her good grammar or scolding her for her words, but he did neither because the next one shocked him.
"He’s a university professor."
What?
Wei looked at the screen, first the kiss, the home meal, she said she cooked, and.. university professor? and let’s not forget that talking about books and poetry...
Wei’s head was spinning, was it possible?
He wrote: “I’m sorry I have to go,” and logged off.
He let himself fall back on the sofa and covered his face with his hands, was he going insane to think that his online friend, who he thought was a young girl, was actually Zhang Yunlan?
