The Caged Bird

It's been 15 minutes and Stella still hasn't come yet. The group starts to get impatient and Corona dials someone.

"Pauline? Any sign of Stella?"
"I saw her went the route to Y/N's house. I lost further track of her."
"I see. Alright." she hangs up and looks at me.

"She must've realized something's wrong."
"P-Probably."
"Do you know anything about Stella otherwise from her disguised nice side?"
"Well, I know she's crazy and won't hesitate to kill me."
"Stop worrying. We're gonna give her what she deserves; she took too many lives."
I nod and take deep breaths getting myself ready for another hell.

We wait for about 5 more minutes and still no sign of her. One of the crew members then growls in frustration. "Dammit! Are you bluffing us or what Corona?!"
"Why would I bluff you with something like this? Calm your ass down man," she answers.
"This is taking too long for my patience."

A little after, my phone starts ringing and I check it to see who the caller is. My jaw drops a bit.

"Who is that calling you Y/N?" Corona asks.
"...Stella."
"What?! You had her number stored in your contacts and didn't tell me?"
"That's the thing..We never exchanged numbers..ever."
"...well what are you waiting for? Answer."
I gulp and answer the call putting it to my ear.

"Y/N?"
"S-Stella, where are you?"
"You'll know. Just count to three."
"H-Huh?"
"To three. Count."

Puzzled, I start counting slowly. As I reach 3, Bang! A sound of a gunshot was heard and in front of us one of the crew member's head spewing out blood as his body collapse on the floor. My eyes then widen and the others start to panick.

"What the fuck?! She has a sniper?! Where does she get a sniper from?!" Corona says looking all around her behind a cover.
The other three take cover also holding onto their weapon while I look around puzzled and scared at the same time.

I then yelp when I heard, "How many?"
"H-Huh?"
"How many of them. AnSwer mE."
"F-F-Four...Four.."
"Thank you Y/N."
"Y/N!" Corona yells, "Hang up the phone!"

I quickly hang up and dropping the phone. Corona growls a bit in anger. "I don't want you chicken out on me now Y/N. You agreed on this don't you?"
"Y-Yeah..sorry."

Slowly calming down waiting for Stella to barge in the front door, we quickly turn around to see Stella already impaling her axe into one of the three teen's back.
"The hell?! She came from the window!" one of them say starting to swing her weapon at Stella but swiftly dodging it Stella land the axe right down in her neck. The last one then takes out her pistol to fire at her so Stella steering the other with the handle of her axe use her to cover the shots then setting free her axe, she swung it and chop her hand where she held her gun. The girl screams in agony trying to stop the bleeding until she pass out. Stella then looks over at Corona with the most sinister smile I've ever seen.

"Hello there Step Sis," Stella says.
"Stella you piece of shit! You're going to die for what you did to my family! To Kusaka!"
"You should be at least thankful that I killed her years later."
"You little....!"
"I had no reason to kill you Corona, I basically spared your life which is something I rarely do. But using Y/N as bait just to take me out, that's stupid and your worst mistake. So you know what Corona, be scared if you want because I'm gonna enjoy pulling your body apart."
"Tsk, I'm not scared of some psychotic weirdo with glowy red eyes who kill for just one worthless life."
"H-Hey," I say being a bit offended.

Stella resting the axe on her shoulder, hums a song quietly still having her eyes on Corona.
"Y/N's life is at least worth killing for, because he's my one and only. And I oath that anyone who comes between us is not going to have a peaceful death!" Stella then charges at Corona swinging her axe at her laughing like a maniac and Corona get hold of the axe trying to disarm it from her. While the two are fighting, I look down at the knife in my hand then back at Stella knowing I might won't be able to do this...I mean she loves me more than anything in the entire world but she keeps killing people because of me..but in spite of that she...she loves me...

I then shake my head violently and pin Stella down on the floor with the knife in my hand. When I look at her, she has this sad look on her face.

"Y-Y/N....y-you're gonna....?"
I breath shakily looking at Stella, her sympathetic look is making me regret even agree to do this.
"C'mon Y/N! Get it over with!!"

Stella tears up causing my heart to sink in regret and I let go of her arm dropping the knife. "Y/N WHAT'RE YOU DOING?!?!" Corona yells.
"I'm so sorry Stella..." I say looking away in shame.
"Me too," she says as she takes the knife up and hits my head with the handle causing me to fall over with a blurry vision.

My vision then recovers a few minutes after and I see Stella backing Corona against the wall. I then get up and pull Stella away to defend Corona. Stella then smirks as she leans her axe on the wall.

"Oh Y/N you're just so cute when you come for the rescue. Too bad it's your new girlfriend instead of me. I guess it will be much cuter to die along with her huh?"
"What? Stella, you're my girlfriend. I love you, I do." I say.
"Show me Y/N. Show me who is your girlfriend and who's the deceiver.." she says calmly.

I then look at Corona and in no hesitation I walk over to Stella with my head down. Stella then kisses my forehead and pick her axe up.

"This is like the story pa told us. The Caged Bird was it? Where the bird got let out and owner tries to get the bird back in the cage but failed. Yeah, I'm so that bird." Stella lifts the axe then says, "Don't look Y/N, this is gonna get messy."

I look away and could only hear screams and cries behind me.
