Chapter three

After clementine spent the rest of the school day in the nurses office with Gabe they walked home in complete silence "C-Clem I'm sorry I just-he mad me really mad"

Clementine scoffed at the boys response "That is no excuse for hitting him Gabe!" She yelled.She walked faster in attempt to get away from Gabe, he grabbed her arm and said "Don't be mad what I did was way out of line he seems like a nice guy but I don't know when I saw you too holding hands it really bothered me." He said, Clementine was fully aware of the crush Gabe has had on her since he met her four years ago. "Just promise me you won't do anything like that again" she said in strict tone "I-I promise and I'm so sorry" he said "How about you apologize to him not me."

When they arrived to their small white two story home they separated ways into their bedrooms. Clementine waited on her bed for her adoptive father and mother to get home with their adoptive brother.She blankly stared at the ceiling when she heard her phone buzz she picked it up expecting none of it.

The text message read 'Hey Clem it Louis I was wondering if you're free later today.' Upon reading through text her heart fluttered and quickly typed a response 'Hey, yeah I'm free what did you have in mind' she anxiously waited for a response.

~Louis pov~

"Should I send it what if i sound desperate" says Louis "dude she gave you her number how can you sound desperate" replies the blonde mullet boy Marlon "yeah I guess you're right" He says

"Let me see"says Marlon signaling for Louis to give him the phone. The text reads 'Would you maybe want to come with me to a little get together later, it's nothing big just my friends so you can get to know them better' when Marlon finishes reading the text he presses send on the boys phone "What did you do!" Say Louis "Relax, I see how she looks at you she's gonna say yes" replied Marlon "You dont know that what if she says N-"He said before he was cut of from the ring of his phone.

He checks the message his hearts drops seeing it from clementine he begins to read the message when he unexpectedly feels Marlon lean on his shoulder to read the text 'Yeah I'd love to. At what time?' Reads the text. Marlon looks at Louis in an 'I told you so' manner "yeah yeah" said Louis. Louis quickly typed a response 'meet me at the park by the school at 5 o'clock I'll meet you there and we'll walk together.'

He pressed send and proceed to release a breath he didn't realize he was holding. His phone buzzed once more 'it's a date then' read the text from clementine as he grinned and put down the phone.
