Chapter 16

General POV

Clementine sauntered into class attempting to hold back her tears. She unfortunately had to sit next to louis this period. She walked over to Gabe and Marianas table "Hey clem, are u okay" questions gabe as mariana nodded taking a bit of her chocolate bar.

"Yeah, just have some things going on" she said with a slight smile. "Do you think i could switch seats with one of you for right now?" she questioned with pleading eyes. "Yeah i can switch if you want" answered mariana. "Thank you so much mariana!" she said as mariana collected her things and moved to clem's seat.

Clementine sat down next to Gabe with a sigh. "Hey clem" gabe said. "hey" she responded not in the mood to talk. Just then the bell rand signaling the begging of class. Louis has yet to arrive to class. After a few minutes of the teacher talking louis walked in head hanging low.  "You're late!" Shouted Ms.lily. "i'm aware" responded louis. He walked over to his seat realizing clem wasn't there he looked around and spotted her next to gabe making conversation. He frowned and sat down in his seat. Clem felt bad for him but she couldn't go over there. She knew once he asked for her forgiveness she wouldn't hesitate to forgive him. But alas she loved him and gave in to her desires. She got up and walked over to mariana placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey mari, sorry but i think i'll take my seat back" withought second thought mariana grabbed her things and went back to her seat. Clementine sat down next to louis not saying a word. "Can't get enough of me i see" he said looking up at her with smile playing his lips. When she didn't respond he new that he hurt her. She stared blankly at the teacher attempting to hold back her tears. But she couldn't. Tears ran down her face but she didn't make a peep. She sat there silently crying. Louis noticed this and instantly brought her into a hug. She enjoyed the hug but pushed him away. "No i'm sorry but no" she said bluntly as she dried her tears. "Clem please i know what i did looked bad but i just want you to know i told her to leave me alone. I told her i don't want her i want you. You're my girl. Not her not anyone else" he said attempting to hold back tears of his own.

"I-i forgive you louis-" "you do?!" he interrupted with a big smile. Which made what she wanted to say next even harder. "Wait, let me finish. I don't think I'm mentally or emotionally available for a relationship right now louis. But we are best friends. Dont you ever forget that. We'll still hang out and do everything best friends do. But i can't handle a relationship with you right now. Maybe some day we can try again but not right now" she finished with a sad smile. "C-clem i- please no" "please louis don't make this harder than it has to be."..."Well then i'm looking forward to that day. But promise me nothing's gonna change between us" he said returning her smile. "I promise and i love you" "i love you too"

"And we'll get through this" he said "Damn right we will!" she said grabbing his hand. "Because we we're made for each other"

AN: i know i havent update in a long time. I've been considering ending this book. it's not doing so great. I will try writing other books but this one might end. Thank you all so much.
