Broken Mirrors and Hearts, Part 2

Jorogumo prided herself in her levelheadedness when the situation called for it, but this situation had her sweating bullets like crazy. 

"Oh, come on, Jorogumo, you'll be fine!" Bao En chirped up as she fixed a lily onto her hair, making the spider Youkai blush, "I-I know, b-but...!" 

"Don't think too much about it," Orimoto Izumi, a fellow member of the SRS, chided while doing her make-up, adding the finishing touches to it. "It'll all end up well." 

"Yeah!" Natsume helped her get her kimono ready as she spoke, straightening it slightly with some heat to give it a neat look. "Cuddly's going to love you!" 

"If he doesn't, then I'll give him a doka punch!" Karan Eri added, making her boyfriend, Katsura Rei, sigh with a smile on his face. 

"Just take it easy, Jorogumo-chan. You look dazzling!" Yaya complimented her, doing Jorogumo's hair up in a bun before Ying added a hairpin to match. 

"Very! You sparkle even more than Junko-nee!" Yagami Hikari added, causing a blush to appear on her face, "N-No way, Hikari-chan!" 

"She's not lying," Lizzy grinned as she leaned on the pillar of the SRS' main base, looking quite amused with the display she was being treated with. "Cuddly will be blown away by this. I'm quite sure of that." 

"T-Thanks!" Jorogumo's face went scarlet. "B-But how sure are you?" 

"Oh, she's not lying, Jorogumo," a new voice joined in as Cuddly himself stepped out from behind Lizzy, red being the highlight of his bear face. "You look fantastic!" 

Jorogumo immediately went blushing like a madman seeing him, "C-C-C-Cuddly! W-When did you get here?!" 

"I-I was waiting outside for you, b-but Lizzy let me in," Cuddly stuttered, eyes moving away in order to calm his hyperventilating self after looking at Jorogumo's beauty. "S-She said that I should wait inside..." 

Jorogumo shot a frenzied look at the detective, silently questioning why she had done that. 

The American could only grin enigmatically, conveying her answer through her eyes. 

Jorogumo's mouth went open.

 Then it closed, unable to speak due to her cheekiness.

Natsume just giggled as she and Ayame helped the Youkai up before pushing her towards Cuddly, "Alright, you guys can go have your date first!" 

"Don't forget to tell us all the interesting stuff!!!" Eri added. 

"G-GUYS!!!!" Jorogumo's face went red, quickly grabbing Cuddly in embarrassment before rushing out, ignoring the chuckles the group shared as they watched.

Cuddly himself was really red, sputtering like a tomato. His hair was messy and unruly to contrast her neatly-done one, and he was just wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans, which made him feel REALLY REALLY bad for not wearing anything special. 

Thankfully, Jorogumo quickly noticed, so she slowed down to match his pace, then proceeded to remove the hairpin and other accessories, even taking out make-up remover to wash it off before excusing herself to change her clothes into a purple shirt, red jacket, grey jeans and let her hair down. 

The male Youkai felt somewhat confused, "J-Jorogumo?" 

"It's better to always match, right?" the spider Youkai grinned softly. "That's exactly what I'm doing. Keisuke and Touma are great fashion advisors." 

Upon hearing that, the bear Youkai flushed, "T-Thank you so much!" 

"I-It's nothing..." Jorogumo flushed back. "L-Let's just go!" 

"A-Ah!" Cuddly agreed before they had eye contact, prompting a blush from them as they slowly intertwined their hands, beginning their date that way.
