"Remember to inform Kihyun if the training is too hard for you, he will help you lessen your workload, he wouldn't do such a thing to you." Woo Yiwon nodded at my words with acknowledgement. "I'll go whack him until he doesn't remember anything of his memory at all..." I just realized that I had just touched on an awkward topic, I laughed it off awkwardly. "I mean not to that extent but to the point that he knows that he is wrong and I am definitely not making fun of you losing your memories, I just... Ugh, how do I even explain this?"

She just chuckled at all the things that I had mentioned and that chuckle only made me more embarrassed than before, it made me want to run into a cave and not want to come out of that cave at all. "I get it, I will work hard not to burden you anymore, it has been too long for me to be freeloading at your place and I want to start earning money with my own abilities and since I am able to, I have to start now or I will feel even worse just staying at home and not doing anything else."

I had wanted her to work and earn money for herself right after she had been discharged from the hospital so that it is easier for me but it is a very selfish reason and I realized when she broke down for the first time ever, when I had dragged her to work without even telling her about it. She was still unwell at that point of time and considering her health, she is not in the right mind to work right now since she had just woken up from a 6 month long coma and she needed time to recover from it but I overlooked it, only thinking about myself and my own pathetic life and I thought that it is the best way to keep the both of us alive.

And it turns out that it is not, she didn't like it and she wasn't in good health to be working the same hours as me, she is not like me who spends his time working nonstop so that there is money in my account every month after paying off all the overdue bills.

I then decided to allow Woo Yiwon to rest at home to take care of herself for as long as possible before she recovers and is ready to work just like any other working adult in this world, it is best for her and she has been using the time to rest all she wants and to have some time to herself although I have seen her not being able to rest well on some days but I have definitely noticed that her cheeks are getting more pink day by day and she could smile as she allows herself to.

And she is ready to start earning money for herself as well, not to tell me not to worry about taking care of her financially but also a way to prove herself that she is capable to do something about her situation as well. But I am afraid that she might not like the experience after that, waitressing is not as easy as it sounds, it is one of the hardest jobs in the world and people often take it for granted, not realizing how important and crucial it is to have waiter and waitresses to be in every single restaurant that you go to.

And waitressing is often being looked down upon by a lot of people as it is a job that requires you to wait on people all the time and be able to accept whatever ridiculous request from the customers and be smiling and respectful and considerate to all customers all the time, it is such a tough job but at the same time, you are able to communicate with the customers more personally and you would know how to cater to their needs in the best way that you can think of.

I have no idea how Woo Yiwon's life has been before she lost her memories and I have no idea if she has ever done such a job before and it might be bad for her if she gets a bad experience from it and she might get traumatized about it and she might not want to work ever again.

I stared at her back as she makes her way inside the breakroom where Kihyun - who is also the owner of the restaurant where I am working there as well - took her to change into her waitressing uniform and to brief her on the basic job scope of what a waitress does and he would give her a day of training to prepare her for the job itself, I hope that she does well for the training.

I got into the kitchen to start work on all the things that I needed to do before the start of each day, I would have to count all of the supplies that we have in stock and conduct quality check on them to make sure that we would be prepping food that is fresh and not past its expiration date and to clean our workspace one last time with disinfectant solution before we open for business.

"You're here early today?" A fellow coworker came into the kitchen to check up on me, he is also a waiter and he started work here around the same time which meant that he has been working there for more than 3 years.

"Hey, Minhyuk... It has been some time since the last time I saw you at work, where did you go?" I washed my hands at the kitchen sink and he stood next to me.

"I had my final exams at the university and I took time off work to concentrate better, didn't Kihyun told you about that?"

I shook my head. "He only eats the food that I prepared for him and he doesn't care about me other than that, but I am still thankful that he gave me a place to stay when I couldn't afford rent."

He nodded. "That's true, he is still a very good friend other than a very good boss." He suddenly gasped. "I almost forgot to tell you this but we have a new waitress working here today, have you seen her?"

He is talking about Woo Yiwon. I nodded. "She started living with me and Kihyun a while ago and she is going to work here from now on, be nice to her or I will whack you."

He scoffed. "Why would I not be nice to her? She is extremely pretty and she seems to be single, and I am single as well. Could you help me get her phone number?"

"She doesn't have a phone," I told him and he just laughed. "I'm serious."

"But who the heck doesn't own a phone these days? You could buy the cheapest phone out there and still be able to communicate with the other humans in this world. How can such a pretty woman not have a phone? It is the ultimate way to woo her and she doesn't have a phone, that's just ridiculous."

"I am for real, she really doesn't have one and she wouldn't want to give it to you even if she does have a phone," I growled at him.
