Twenty-nine

Yiwon

"Are you planning to go out with that bastard?" Chae Hyungwon asked me when I am in the bathroom brushing my teeth and I stared at him, begging to get out because he is invading my privacy and I feel uncomfortable at him staring at me brushing my teeth. "Tell me, are you or are you not?"

I spit out the toothpaste into the sink and I looked at him. "Can you get out first? I need to brush my teeth." I told him and he took my words and got out of the toilet after muttering a 'sorry' to me.

I let out a huge sigh and I closed the door behind me and making sure that I had locked it, I have a weird housemate and I can't have him invading my privacy all the time even though we live together in the same apartment. I got out of the bathroom and relaxed that no one was there to watch me brush my teeth, I swear that Chae Hyungwon is born in outer space and he only recently learnt how to live like a human but not really.

I let out a scream, Chae Hyungwon is just standing there and it scared the hell out of me. Why is he standing there for? "Chae Hyungwon!" I yelled his name.

"I needed to know your answer to my question and you didn't give me an answer so I was waiting for you to get out of the bathroom and answer my question." He recited and he looked at me. "So what is your answer?"

"I am not going to answer your question because you called Lee Minhyuk ssi a bastard and he is not a bastard," I told him and I walked past him to go to the kitchen to get my breakfast.

"Lee Minhyuk is a bastard, you just don't know that because he hasn't revealed that side of him to you. Don't go out on a date with him, I am warning you of something bad that is going to happen if you did go out on a date with him." He crossed his arms.

"What is going to happen to me?" I asked him when grabbing the pot of coffee and pouring into my mug. "And why did you even care so much if I were to go out with Lee Minhyuk or not? We are just housemates and we happen to work in the same restaurant as well, other than that, we are just two adults who have no blood relation with each other and I don't even think that we are friends, we are more like acquaintances to be exact."

"I..." He tried to look for an answer and I looked at him trying to get the words out of his mouth, I bet that he is going to come out with some nonsense that doesn't make sense at all. "Because we are acquaintances and we live together in the same apartment, we also work in the same restaurant so we are considered to be friends. And as your friend, I have the right to tell you who you should go out and who you shouldn't."

I just know it, he is really someone that I wouldn't get to know if I had the choice, why did I choose him to help me get out of the hospital in the first place? Because he was the guy who convinced me that I should leave my perfect life to a life of unpredictions...

He nudged me. "So are you going on a date with that bastard or not?" I glared at him. "I mean Lee Minhyuk, don't go out with him. I warned you about that because he is a player and he breaks a lot of innocent hearts, and he likes to target newbie waitresses like you to go on a date with them and then reject them after one date."

I let out a sigh. "I am not going out anywhere, okay? I am just going to stay at home the whole day and enjoy my day off before I get back to work tomorrow, you go to work and leave me alone." I sat down at the dining table and sipped my coffee, enjoying my lovely day off when a sudden phone broke the entire atmosphere.

It was a phone call from my lawyer best friend, lawyer Myoui Mina. I answered the call right away, I am hoping for good news from her. "Sana, I have good news. Your citizenship application is approved and I have completed your ID card that looks extremely real, I don't think that they can tell it apart at all."

"Really? That's great! I have been wanting to hear that for a very long time and Woo Yiwon exists as a real person." I beamed with delight and I looked at Chae Hyungwon who is still in the house, he is looking a little happy as well.

"I am shipping your new ID card by mail right now and you should be able to receive in less than 3 days." She told me. "You will officially be Woo Yiwon but not really legally recognized as Woo Yiwon because it is not real, Minatozaki Sana."

I cringed at the name that was given to me ever since I was born, it was a name that I really loved when I was a child but I started to really hate it when I found out that my father wasn't the person whom I thought was admirable and an awesome role to look up to, he wasn't any of that and he was more than a scumbag.

"Call me Woo Yiwon from now on, Lawyer Mina. That name is a thing of the past and I have gotten rid of my past life to accept the new life that I am in right now." I told her. "We will meet when we have the time." I hung up the call and I stood up to hug Chae Hyungwon, I am just so happy that I don't need to live in fear anymore because I am not the person on the missing person posters anymore, I am a 23-year-old waitress with a dream that is starting to grow little by little day after day.
