Yiwon

I bit my lips nervously as I held my mobile phone close to my ears, desperately wanting the other person on the other side of the line to pick up my call as soon as the phone rings. I haven't called this person in a very long time and I have no idea if her phone number has changed or not, all I have is her phone number that she passed it to me months before I left the empire, I am only hoping that she didn't change her phone number so that I will be able to contact her.

Or the person standing right in front of me is going to accuse me of being a liar if the person that I am calling doesn't pick up the phone, I told Chae Hyungwon a few minutes ago that I have a way of staying here without getting caught by anyone and I know someone who can help me do that for free or for a favour. She is extremely skilled in her line of work and she will be able to help me become the real Woo Yiwon without any problems and it would only take her 2 weeks to do that, that is how powerful and capable being a lawyer at such a young age.

"Hello?" Her voice was clear, even though it shouldn't be because it is in the middle of the night and she should be asleep at this time. "Is anyone there?"

I had connected the earpieces to the phone and only me and Chae Hyungwon could hear it, in order to not let anyone know about it. I know that Yoo Kihyun is a close friend of Chae Hyungwon and he is also the owner of the apartment that we are in but it is better to not let him know about it, for now, the lesser people who know about my secret, the better.

"Myoui Mina, this is Minatozaki Sana and I have a favour. Are you free now and are you alone right now?" I whispered.

"Yes, I am alone. I had just left the office a while ago and I am in my car, about to make my way home." She explained her situation that she is in. "What is it that you want to ask? And it has been a while since I have seen you in Japan."

I gulped my saliva. "I escaped the country 6 months ago due to my personal reasons and I have been in a coma for the same amount of time, and I don't have my personal belongings with me at all. I have been in South Korea for the past month and it is hard not telling anyone my true identity, and I don't want to return back to Japan. I am now scared of getting found out by my father's men and they will definitely bring me back to Japan when they find me, and I really have to stay in South Korea for as long as possible. Is it possible that you can help me forge an identity for me? I know that you can do that in just 2 weeks."

She didn't speak for the next one minute and that makes me feel so dejected that she isn't as happy and willing to help me but I couldn't blame her, it is not a good thing to actually create a fake identity to deceive people that it isn't true. But she is my only option now, I don't know any lawyers other than her and if there are any lawyers that I have contacts with, it is the lawyers that know my father and they will definitely rat on me and tell my father my whereabouts.

If she doesn't reply, I would really have no choice but to give up my life here and go back to the hell that I escaped from with much difficulty. I have risked everything to be here and I am about to return back without much achievement, I really don't want that to happen to me. If possible, I am willing to illegally forge my own identity with my own means in order to stay here but I will get caught by the police and I would spend the rest of my life in jail. I will not plead my own father to get me out of jail, I would rather spend the rest of my days being someone that I want to be and not confined to being a mere puppet for my father's business.

"Woo Yiwon, hang up the call now. She isn't even speaking into it anymore and I think that she is just ignoring you for the sake of her own future." Chae Hyungwon interrupts my little bubble.

"Wait for a few more minutes, I know that she doesn't like to give up on anything and I really mean anything," I told him. "She is my best friend back in middle school and high school, she has been with me through the ups and downs in my life but she is really busy with her life as a successful lawyer and she usually doesn't even have the time to pick up any calls because she is just so busy. She picked up my call because I was that special to her and she treats me like a friend, like how I treated her like my sister."

And with that, there were sounds in the background again. "Sana, you are still there right? Sorry for not answering at all, I had to make a detour back to the office to pick up all the necessary documents that I needed for your case. And I am able to take up your case even though I usually charge my clients the usual fee but for you, it is free of charge."

I had tears in my eyes as I was relieved to hear that she didn't give up on me. "When do I meet you to settle all the documents?"

"Tomorrow? It is my off day and I just told everyone that I am not available tomorrow and they will not be able to meet me even if they want to."

"Tomorrow sounds great, I will text you the address," I told her. "Thank you for agreeing to help me with this."

"That is no problem, you are like my sister and I am willing to help you no matter what. Even if I were to die along with you, I wouldn't mind. Because you are that important to me, Sana."
