Thoughts racing a mile a minute. My emotions all over the place, to the point where I couldn't exactly pinpoint what I was feeling.

Rage. Confusion. Impatience. Curiosity. Restlessness.

And more than enough blood-pumping rage to make me see in circles.

Of course, I gained zero sleep that night. Too busy wondering just what kind of truth is out there. What mystery lies just under our noses. That seems to have both Lucy, and my mother spooked. The main issue here is the fact that the truth lies within that book, which are in Sammie's hands now. And we have no whereabouts on her exact location.

This blows! I can't take this anymore! All this waiting around for Garadex to get better. I'm pretty sure I can take them on myself. I'm not some wide-eyed kid anymore ! I'm a totally different Freddie now! I can fight back with or without that old fart!

"You have a wild imagination." I turn to see Lucy laying next to me. Now facing me. While she rests her head on her arched up arm. I shoot her a weird, squinty stare. Eyebrows furrowing. "If you're wandering if I can read minds, the answer is yes."

"Geez, you were already a pain in the ass to deal with before. Now I gotta worry about you reading my thoughts too? Talk about lack of privacy." I say, shaking my head while exhaling. She merely stares back with a pearly white smile. Eyes radiant as they grew narrow in a smug manner.

"Oh, it's not so bad. Not as bad as still peeing in the bed till you were twelve. Now that's pretty funny." Lucy chuckled.

My face becomes a fixed stare.

Lucy slips into laughter. Covering her mouth loosely with one hand. "Sorry bout that. But just know, I too can perform telekinetic magic. Your she-devil of a sister of yours isn't the only one you know." Lucy informs.

She smirks at my next thought. "And yes, you better count your lucky stars that I'm the only one who can actually take her down."

"Hmmm," I rub my chin, teasingly.

"What do you mean hmmm? Are you doubting me now?" Lucy snarls, putting her hands on her hips.

"I don't know. You can read minds can't you?" I shoot her a snarky grin.

"Screw you." Lucy mutters.

Her last comment made me smirk. I can't imagine Lucy fighting off demons. Her dark, almost punkish girl exterior and small frame made it hard to. She seems too relaxed for my tastes. Almost carelessly playful even. She's definitely what I would call Tammy's polar opposite in every way possible!

But then again...

I think back towards that day on the cliff. When the vampires attacked us, the moment everything was said and done, there was nothing but puddles of blood where Lucy was standing. The moment bizarrely reminded me of how Tammy did something similar at that party. Now I wonder, does she have telekinetic magic as well? If so, why use it only then?

Garadex stirs in his sleep. I peek over to see him drooling. Mumbling quiet spells in his sleep. He's gotten quite skinny over the past few months. I can see the outline of his rib-cage now. It's during moments like this, that makes it hard to imagine him being the strongest magician alive.

Then again, we all look ridiculous if you really stop to think on it. I mean, we have a girl who looks something straight outta a rock concert. Wearing blue-tipped hair, the same AC/DC shirt that ends at her belly button, black fishnet stockings and matching lipstick, as pale as a ghost, and yet has a light-hearted, bubbly personality.
