Chapter 25~Decorating Begins!

Hajime's POV:

Once we get to the doors of the ballroom Nagito stops, staring nervously at them. I sigh some. I know that this is the last thing he wants to do...I squeeze his hand, making him look over at me, "It'll be okay Nagito...~ I'm right next to you...~" I say, giving him a warm smile.

Nagito blushes and smiles a little, "O-Okay...~" he says, putting his other hand on one of the door knobs. Taking a breath Nagito opens the door, turning on the light. My eyes widen when I look inside. It looks...so different...Baron and Ms. Yukizome must've worked really hard on it...~ I walk inside, stopping when I realize Nagito wasn't following. I was just pulling him...I look back and walk over to him, noticing that he's shaking some.

I lift up the hand I'm holding and kiss it softly, making Nagito look at me with a blush, "Don't be afraid...~" I say, slowly leading him inside. His blush grows more noticeable as we walk in, making me laugh a little. He gets cuter and cuter every day...~ We stay quiet for a little while, until I finally spoke up.

"Baron did a good job with repairs...~" I say with a slight smile. Nagito looks around, "Y-Yea he did...I-I should've helped..." he says, looking down some. I sigh a little, "It's okay...~ We can help by starting on the decorations...~" I say with a bit of a laugh, "Do you keep tablecloths or other decorations anywhere...~?"

Nagito looks at me, smiling some, "W-We should h-have some in the d-decor closet...~" he says, pulling me towards a closet at the back of the ballroom. He opens the door, revealing a large room filled with supplies we could use for the dance, "I-I used to...m-make stuff in h-here for my p-parents..." Nagito says, sounding a bit sad as we walked in. I sigh a little. He must really miss them...I want to cheer him up, but...this is one thing that...I know I can't help with. All I can do is be here for him...I know this, but...I look down some. Why do I still feel so useless...? I have no clue what to say or do...I don't want to upset him...

"H-Hey...a-are you okay...?" Nagito asks, sounding a bit confused. I snap out of it and look at him with a kind smile, "I'm alright...~ How about we look through some of this stuff so we can find good decorations...okay~?" I say, trying to keep my cool. "O-Okay...~" Nagito says with a sweet smile. That smile...is the one thing he does that would always cheer me up...~

Nagito's POV:

After a while of looking, we finally found some nice sea blue tablecloths and seat covers we could use along with some little vases and seashells for decoration...like the ones I drew in my book~ We could put the seashells inside and put a ring of silver glitter on top of each vase...~ It would be perfect~! When I helped Hajime bring the stuff into the ballroom, I noticed that...he looked kinda upset again. He hasn't said a word since we started looking for decorations...something doesn't feel right...did...I do something wrong...?

I walk over to Hajime, hugging him from behind, "H-Hajime..." I say, making him turn his head towards me, "Ah...yes Nagito...?" He says, a slight blush forming on his cheeks. I lean my head on his shoulder, "A-Are...y-you upset at m-me...?" I ask curiously.

Hajime quickly turns around and hugs me tightly, "No! I'm not upset at you at all...~ Why would I ever be...? You haven't done anything wrong...~" he says, petting my head softly. I feel a blush form on my cheeks. I...wasn't expecting that reaction...~ I smile some and hug him back, "O-Okay...~ I-It's just...y-you haven't t-talked much...I-I thought that...y-you we're upset a-at me..." I say, nuzzling him slightly.

He releases me from the hug, keeping his arms around me. I blush as he looks at me with a kind smile, "I promise you...I'm not...~ I..." Hajime looks down some, "I just...don't want to bring up anything that would...upset you..." he says, making my eyes widen some. "N-No it's okay Hajime...~ I-I don't mind i-if you do...~ I-I'll talk about a-anything with you...~" I say with a smile. I don't want him to feel that...I wont talk to him...I'd trust him with anything...~

He looks back at me with a smile, giving me a kiss on the forehead, "Alright then...~ If you want to, we can talk about stuff while we set up...~?" He says as he lets me go, leaving me feeling flustered. Why does he have to keep making me blush like this?! I smile some and giggle, "S-Sure...~"

~Time Skip~

While setting up, we chatted about my parents and he asked what they were like. He truly wants to get to know me...~ I wanted to ask him stuff, but there's really just one thing I want to know...and I know he won't talk about it. Maybe I can ask one of his classmates...maybe that music girl...? I'm not sure if she'll even talk to me, but I'll ask her anyways.

Once we finished setting up every table, I looked around the room. It looks exactly how I pictured...~ It'll look even better when we put up everything else~! Hajime and I decided to take a little break, so we both headed over to the kitchen so we could get something to eat.

While we were eating in the dining room, Chiaki and Souda arrived. I'm guessing they were excused from school too...~ "Whats up guys~!" Souda says excitedly, messing with my hair some. "Nothing much...~" Hajime says, taking a bite of one of the bagels Baron made this morning. I giggle a little to myself. I think I got him to like them as much as I do~

Chiaki giggles some, "I saw that you guys worked on the ballroom, it looks great~" she says with a smile. "T-Thank you...~ W-We worked h-hard on it...~" I say as I nibble on my bagel. We really did do a good job...It was...actually kinda fun...~ I'm glad that Hajime was there with me...I could never go in there alone...I scoot closer to him, leaning on him some. Hajime laughs a bit and puts his arm around me, pulling me closer.

"You guys are too cute~!" Chiaki says with a slight squeal. I blush and hide my face, making Hajime laugh some. After a little while, Ms. Yukizome and Baron walk in. They both look at us with a smile, Baron looking like a proud parent...which is weird. They walk over and sit across the table from us, while Chiaki and Souda sit by each other on the same side as them.

"The ballroom is looking great guys~" Chisa says, sounding excited, "I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done~" I giggle some, "T-Thank you...~" I say, smiling happily. I'm glad Ms. Yukizome likes it...~ I look over at Baron, "S-Sorry I didn't h-help you with the r-repairs..." I say, looking down some. Baron sighs a little, "Don't worry about it young master...~" he says with a warm smile, "I'm just happy that...you went into the room...~"

My eyes widen a bit, but I smile and wrap my arms around Hajime, "I-It was...b-because..." I look up at him with a blush, "H-Hajime was t-there with me...~" I say with a sweet smile. Hajime blushes, leaning his head on mine, "I'll always be here for my sweet prince~" he says, smiling warmly. Without thinking I lean in and give him a quick kiss on the lips, making the other four cheer happily. Hearing them I suddenly feel my face go red, hiding it again. I...forgot they were there for a moment...

Hajime looks over at them with a blushing face, "Good job guys...you embarrassed him." He says, petting my hair softly. "I'm sorry~ I'm just so happy for you two~" Chisa says with a slight giggle. "Yea! You two are so perfect together~ Just like me and Chiaki~" Souda says, putting his arm around her. Hajime rolls his eyes at him, but smiles happily. I look back up at them, smiling some. I'm glad that they're so supportive of us...~

After a little while longer, we hear the door bell ring. Baron stands up from his seat, "I'll get that...~" he says as he walks out of the dining room. I look over at the others confused, noticing that Souda and Chiaki's mood changed, "Its the food planning group...I made them come over today so we can all discuss what we should make for the dance...~" Chisa says with a slight smile.

I feel Hajime pull me closer. He must not be happy to hear about this either...I wish Baron told us earlier so we could've been prepared...I look up at him again, noticing a semi serious look on his face, "I won't let them treat you badly..." Hajime says, making me blush. To be honest, I'm not too worried about this group...since Mikan is in it and she'll defend me too...~ I hope...
