9 : Awkward situations

I splashed my face with cold water for my brain to think rationally. Was I really gonna open up about my messed up thoughts in front of Rose?

Uhh again that name. I don't know why that sounds so familiar and why do I keep calling her that. After my mom went in comma eight months ago I don't remember when I actually laughed like that.

There is something about her that makes her so different. I just met her a few weeks ago and here she is making me laugh that no one else has in these many months. After fixing my state of mind I masked an emotionless face and went back to my seat and started doing my work.

It probably was half an hour of doing my work when I heard something fall down. I looked up from my laptop and saw the book that Rose was reading was lying on the floor.

I looked at her and noticed her eyes were closed. She had dozed off on her seat and by looking at her position it wasn't looking comforting enough for napping.

But why does it concerns me? It clearly is none of my business. I continued my work not paying attention elsewhere. After a few minutes I saw Rosella's head that was supporter by the seat was slightly drifting towards sideways. Before she could fall I stood up and caught her in place.

That's it now I'll have to make her sleep on the bed. Sleeping here is risky as she could have had banged her head.

I picked her up in my arms and started walking towards the little bed that the plane had. I thought it's gonna be easy to pick her up and make her sleep on the bed but things don't go as we plan as those grey eyes opened.

"What happened where are you taking me?" She widened her eyes in horror.

Damn this is such an awkward position to be in. God know what that little brain of her might be thinking.  "I did not wanted to wake you up, you didn't looked comfortable in that seat so I thought you could sleep on the bed instead." I said not looking at her and continued walking.

I lowered her on the bed and pulled the blanket over her."You can call Lisa if you need anything." After tucking her in the bed I went back to my seat.

Without having a second thought I started doing my work and I was so consumed by it that I didn't realized how much time passed until the pilot announced that we are about to land. I told Lisa to go wake Rosella up.

After we got down the plane there was a chauffeur and a few bodyguards waiting by the car to take us to the hotel. The ride to the hotel went in silence.

The hotel rooms wer already booked for us so we just had to collect our keys. The entire way Rose quietly followed behind me without uttering a single word.

While the manager went to bring the keys to our room we waited in the lounge area. As we sat in silence I saw two familiar figures approaching and they were Mr. Lawrence and his wife.

"It's plesent to see you here I hope the trip wasn't too tiring." Mr. Lawrence said the last part looking at Rosella. She does looks a bit tired.
"I hope you'll be fine to attend the meeting today?"
"That won't be a problem." We had a few small talks when the manager came with the room keys.

When I opened the room my blood boiled by the sight of it there was a man sitting on the couch watching TV. His back was facing us so he didn't noticed our presence.

I went to pulled his collar and throw him out of the room but as soon as I went in front of him I saw it was non other than Aiden himself. "Hay man what's up?" He was all relaxed and calm like he isn't aware of what he is doing.
" What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Relax man I just came here to check, I just wanted to make sure that my staff is doing there work perfectly. After all you are my best friend so I have to make sure that you are comfortable." He said with that goofy grin on his face.

I slapped his shoulder " don't lie I know that's not what you are here for."

"Maybe you're right but never mind after all your room my room what's the difference right?" He said shifting and getting more comfortable on the couch.

"Aiden I'm not alone at least you should respect the privacy of a women I said pointing at Rose who was still standing near the door.

Aiden made a surprised face "Rosella! You're here too!" He finally stood up from the couch and went near Rosella and hugged her. "Did Emma come with you?" He said looking excited like a child.

"No she didn't, this is a business trip."
"I wish she had." His excitement went back to normal after hearing that. I think he has developed some liking towards Emma as he talks a lot about her. And I'm very certain that he was waiting in this room for her.

"Okay I'll go now, you guys rest and yeah, I hope you both will keep your hands to yourself and if not fill me on the details." Aiden winked towards me. I was about to catch his collar for what he said but as soon as I took a step towards him he ran out.

I looked at Rose and she was blushing out of embarrassment.That bastard can speak anything without even realized if it's appropriate or not.

"I think you should go rest, come I'll show your room." She nodded and followed behind.

I showe Rose her room and she went in. She looked around and it seemed as if she likes it.

"I hope this room is comfortable enough for you to read your interesting book." I think she got the message as the shade of plink was back on her cheeks again. Whenever she gets embarrassed her grey eyes widens a bit and with those blushing cheeks she looks nothing but utterly beautiful. Wait did I just think that about my secretary? Uh what has gotten into me.

"This room is perfect y-you don't have to mention that book." She said averting her eyes back towards the room as if she remembers nothing.

"I'll leve now and yeah be ready at 5pm we have to attend a meeting."

~ Time skip ~

It's 4pm we still have an hour to go for the meeting. We haven't eaten anything since we got here so I ordered some food.

I knocked on her door to call her to  eat but she didn't answer. I could hear her voice as if she was talking to someone. Is there someone in her room? Not thinking much I twisted the door knob and found her talking to someone on her phone. She looked pissed with the person she was talking to and I think I opened the door at a wrong time as she was in nothing but a towel.

She saw me and her eyes widened. " I called you but I guess you didn't hear me."

"I'll c-come in 10 minutes." Her face was a bright shade of red after she saw me looking at her.

I quickly went out shutting the door behind me. So this adds up to one more awkward situations for today in the list.

The food already arrived so I started eating and took out my phone to reply some mails. While I was in midway eating I heard the door to Rose's room open. " I ordered food as the meeting could last a bit long." I said still looking at my phone screen.

She didn't say anything. I finally looked at her and woah this girl is full of surprise I've never seen her wear something like that. That dress was sticking to her body like a second skin showing off her amazing figure.

I guess she wasn't listening to what I said as she was fidgeting with her dress trying to pull the low neckline up so that it didn't show much cleavage. Why is she wearing that in the first place if it worries her? Not that it's any of my concerns.

I've see a lot of hot girls also dated a few but still none of those compare to what Rose looks like.
