I slapped him.

Right there and then.

"How long is it going to take you to get inside your thick brain that I already have a mum?" I screamed at him. I couldn't believe him.He couldn't be serious?

"Also this." I spat out looking Emily up and down and wrinkling my nose.

"Will never be half the woman mum was."

I was about to slam the door shut when I said:

"Also, don't even try calling yourself my father." I said in his face. He turned red in fury, a vein popping out of his neck. Then, he raised his hand and slapped me. It stung and I knew it would leave a mark on my cheek.

"How dare you!" He screamed. I was about to yell back at him but Cass stood in front of me and pushed dad.

"Don't you raise a hand on Lexi! And get off my property immediately!" She yelled, I thought dad was angry but Cass? She was absolutely furious. I'd never seen her get that mad before, she was quite a laid back person and was always calm and kept her temper. Behind me I heard two pairs of feet coming behind me, I looked and saw that it was Autumn and Lexi. Frowning at Emily who just stood there stunned.

"You're meant to leave?" Lily said rolling her eyes at Emily. She looked at us a bit awkwardly and tugged on dad's arm and they both turned and went back into his car. I watched them drive off.

So?

This was mum's replacement?

"Mum, don't leave me, please mum," I said, willing her eyes to open, but she lay still. Not even a twitch, she was stone cold.

She was gone.

"I love you." I whispered kissing her forehead.

I had always been preparing myself for this day but I never realised that it would hurt this much. Dad was standing behind me just watching everything, not even saying anything just staring, why is he so heartless.

"Well come on then, get your suitcase and let's go." He said quickly already turning around. Was he serious? My mum just died and he just wants to leave her for this other woman.

"No."

"Excuse me." He asked stepping towards me.

"I said no."

"Just get in the car and shut up." He said sitting down and putting his keys in.

"Mum just died! She's gone! She's never ever coming back! Get that into your head already!" I screamed at him, people started to point and stare but I didn't care. Dad was fuming, his vein was popping out of his neck again and he grabbed me by the shoulders and shoved me into the car.

"I can walk you know." I muttered through my teeth.

I sat down into the car.

"Don't think I'll be all happy family with them."
