L E X I

I woke up to an empty room, where was I? Then I remembered everything. I still hadn't unpacked. The room was quite big but it felt cold and weird, like it wasn't my room. Guess I'll have to start putting my things up. I stood up and entered my bathroom, washed my face and brushed my teeth. Then went down to eat.

As I walked into the kitchen I could feel stares.

"What?" I asked.

They all looked away and carried on eating food. There was a plate of pancakes in the middle and I picked one up and drizzled syrup over it and began to eat it. I could tell they kept glancing at me and quickly looking away.

"Okay will someone tell me what's happening?" I asked irritated.

"Well..." Ethan said.

"Basically we have school tomorrow and one of us has to tell you that we're not telling anyone at school that you're our stepsister." Sam rushes out.

"Sam!" Jack or Jayden said slapping the back of his head.

"Sorry." He mumbled.

I laughed, not at them, but I had already predicted this would happen, they wouldn't want to ruin their 'reputation' or shit.

"It's fine, I know you don't want to ruin your 'reputation' " I said rolling my eyes.

"No we just-" Sam started.

"It's fine." I cut him off, I faked a smile and put my plate away and went to go unpack everything.

I had just got to school, making sure I went in after the others I went to the office. There was a lady behind the desk who looked quite young.

"Hiya, how can I help you?" She asked smiling at me.

"Hi, Alexandra Haart, I'm new," I said.

"Ok, give me a sec. I'll find your timetable." She said.

She came back a few seconds later with it,

"Here you go darling also I'll call over your helper for the day," she said.

She called for a Madeleine James.

Soon a girl with blonde hair and brown eyes bursted through the doors.

"Sorry I'm late Mrs Murphy," She apologised.

"It's alright, here's your student for the day," she said pointing at me.

"Heya, I'm Maddie." She said to me with a wide smile.

"Lexi Haart." I said smiling back at her.

"Maddie you'll help out Lexi for the day, take her to her lessons, help her find her locker and things like that," Mrs Murphy explained. Madeleine nodded and we said bye to Mrs Murphy and walked into a hallway.

"So what brings you to Haydon High School." She asked.

"My dad." I answered shortly.
